That’s the title for Morley Stanwood’s volleyball team after defeating Kent City in the title game of the CSAA tournament at Grant on Saturday.

Kent City had defeated Morley Stanwood 3-2 during the regular season and had a 10-0 league record compared to 9-1 for the Mohawks.

The Mohawks beat White Cloud 25-11, 25-16 and Grant 25-20, 25-14 to get into the finals with Kent City and prevailed 25-16, 25-23.

Reed City lost to Central Montcalm 20-25, 25-17, 16-14; defeated Chippewa Hills 25-15, 25-20, Tri County 27-25, 25-12 and Newaygo 23-25, 25-21, 16-14.

For Reed City, Kyleigh Weck had nine aces, 19 kills, two assists, 56 digs and seven blocks; Kenzie Shoemaker had three aces and 11 digs; Molly Bowman had eight aces, five kills, one assists, 69 digs and two blocks; Rachael Van Syckle had three aces, 13 kills, 35 assists, 28 digs and one block; Andie Bennett had two aces, 15 kills, 11 digs and two blocks; Kendal Henry had two aces, 15 kills 41 digs and 20 blocks and Emma Johnson had two aces 12 kills, 39 assists 17 digs and 10 blocks.
