NEWAYGO – Reed City and Evart competed at a high level in duals last week.

STANTON – Reed City started its CSAA schedule schedule with two losses.
Kent City nipped Reed City 37-36 and Central Montcalm topped Reed City 59-24.
Izaiah Lentz at 150 was Reed City’s only double winner as he improved his season record to 21-0.
Wrestlers with one win were Braydon Saxton (190), Noah Morgan (215), Wyatt Spalo (285), Carter Johnson (106), Logan Kindig (132), Elijah Lentz (138), Connor Ward (157) and Hunter Fagon-Moyer (175).
RC’s season record is 14-7. Reed City is home vs Chippewa Hills and Newaygo on Jan. 11.
Evart 2-0
HOUGHTON LAKE – Evart improved to 4-0 in Highland Conference duals with a 42-39 win over Roscommon.
“Steven Gascoigne and Ethan Conk came through with big wins to push us to a victory,” Evart coach Ben Bryant said.
Evart topped Mancelona 60-18.
Wrestlers going 2-0 on the night were Conk, Joseph Kunin, Michael Lodholtz, Landon Babb, Cole Hopkins and Alex Burhans.
Evart is off this weekend and will be in McBain on Wednesday next week.
