EVART -- Plenty is being expected of Evart boys basketball senior Cam Brasington this season and so far, the Wildcat guard has delivered.

"Cameron Brasington is a senior three-year varsity player who is a hard worker and has improved his shot and decision making. He will lead our team as our point guard," Wildcat coach Kris Morgan said.

Brasington had nine points in the season-opener with Manton, a 64-38 loss. He then scored 20 points in an 87-66 loss to McBain

"We started off playing tough, very tough," Brasington said. "McBain is a very good team. We played well for most of the game. Three minutes before the first half ended, they took it to us."

"Cam Brasington had a nice bounce back game with 20 points and worked his tail off on defense all night," Morgan said.

"I had a pretty good game, but we need more people to give us more options," Brasington said.

He had 20 again on Thursday in a 70-56 loss at Pine River. He had 11 points in a 60-50 win over Harrison on Friday.

"We have some things we can overcome," Brasington said. "I think we can do better."

Evart is at Farwell on Jan. 7.
