EVART — Andrew Booher is keeping busy this summer.

The Evart senior has been working out with the basketball team. He’s in his second season.

“I’ve been playing all summer,” he said. “Once basketball gets over with here, I’ll shoot at home.”

Booher said he’s working on his ball handling.

He’s been a small forward/shooting guard type of player.

Booher also plays football for the Wildcats.

“We’ve had summer weight lifting on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays,” he said. “We’ll have some 7-on-7s.”

Booher plays tight end and linebacker for the Wildcats.

“I’m looking at getting stronger and pretty much the same as basketball, getting better at the game,” Booher said.

Football practices begin on Aug. 8.

Several of his teammates have been involved in summer sports.

“It’s a lot better (attending camps),” he said. “You are more advance in the game than the ones who don’t come.”

It’s not just sports that occupy Booher this time of year.

“I do 4-H as well,” he said. “I work with cows and pigs.”
