Beasley set to play key role again as libero

EVART — Danielle Beasley will be counted upon to make major contributions for Evart’s volleyball team this season.

It’s her third varsity season and she’ll again be a libero.

“My goal is to be more of a leader this year,” she said.

Talking is a strength for Beasley.

“I talk to my team very well,” she said.

As a passer, Beasley takes pride in her teamwork, and hopes to improve in all aspects of her passing.

Beasley also will be counted upon to be a server.

“Finding a weak spot on the other side,” is what Beasley said she’ll focus upon as a server.

Evart started practices on Aug. 10. Teamwork has been the main focus, Beasley said.

“We’re young, and new,” she said. “Communicating is (critical).”

The Wildcats hope to be competitive in the Highland Conference and against such teams as archrival Pine River.

Evart is home Tuesday against Harrison.
