EVART — Evart’s volleyball team is young again this season with only three seniors.

One of the seniors is Sierra Barnett, who has seen the team continue to improve.

The Wildcats were 1-5 in pool play at the Crossroads Invitational recently.

Barnett has been a middle hitter for Evart, and is in the same role as she’s been in past seasons.

“I feel pretty good, very much improved,” she said. “It’s been going good. We’re having a lot more communication than last season.”

As a hitter, Barnett has been focusing on hitting it “hard and quick,” she said.

Barnett has focused on harder serves for the Wildcats and making it more difficult for the opponents to return.

“We’re looking good this year,” Barnett said, pointing out the Wildcats have had a lot of experience. Our team goal would probably be to pass and talk a little more.”

Evart will be home on Thursday against Coleman in non-league play.
