Reed City 04\/28 Officers responded to a residence for a zoning violation. It was reported that someone\u00a0was living in a camper on a resident's property. The complaint was unfounded. Officers investigated a possible arson to a residence. The matter is under further investigation. Officers picked up a subject at the Mecosta County Jail on an outstanding Reed City warrant. The\u00a0subject was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail and lodged without incident. Officers investigated two complaints of driver's failing to stop for a stopped school bus. The\u00a0vehicles have been identified and the matter is under further investigation. Officers investigated a reckless driving complaint where the victim had to take evasive action\u00a0to avoid a collision and struck a curb causing damage to her vehicle. The matter is under\u00a0investigation. 04\/29 Officers responded to the school to assist with a disorderly student. The student was\u00a0transported home. Officers assisted the Michigan State Police at an alarm at a business outside of the city. The alarm\u00a0was determined to be false and the Officer resumed normal patrol duties within the city. Officers assisted the Michigan Sate Police on a traffic stop on U.S. 10. Officers were called for a vehicle driving on Rails to Trails. Officers checked the area and no\u00a0vehicles were found on the trails. 04\/30 Officers assisted a student at the school that was being harassed. Officers talked with a student at the school that was making inappropriate comments. Officers responded to a residence for a bonfire. Officers made contact with the subjects and advised\u00a0them of the City Ordinance in regards to fires as well as the DNR burn ban. Officers were called to an apartment complex for a trespassing complaint. Officers arrived on scene\u00a0and located the subject inside of one of the apartments. The subject was arrested for probation\u00a0violation at the request of the subject's probation officer and was lodged at the Osceola County Jail\u00a0without incident. 05\/01 Officers handled a possible stalking complaint involving a student. The matter is under\u00a0further investigation. Officers responded to East Catherine Ave. at South Chestnut Street for a car\/pedestrian accident. The\u00a0pedestrian who was at fault causing the accident received no life-threatening injuries and was\u00a0transported to Spectrum Health Reed City by Osceola County EMS. Officers were called to a gas station for a gas drive off complaint. A report was completed and the\u00a0matter is under investigation. Officers responded to a residence for a suspicious situation complaint. The complainant returned\u00a0home to find his screen door standing open. Officers checked the residence and it was determined\u00a0that the latch on the door was defective. Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff's Department in making a warrant arrest at an\u00a0apartment complex in the city. 05\/02 Officers issued two abatement notices to residents in the city. Those residents have the\u00a0allotted time to correct the violation or further enforcement action will be taken. Officers were called to an apartment complex for a suicidal subject. The subject was transported to\u00a0the hospital for a mental evaluation without incident. 05\/03 Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver\u00a0was operating the vehicle on a suspended license and was also improperly transporting medical\u00a0marijuana. The subject was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident. Officers were requested to respond to a personal injury traffic accident on Benzing Road near 80th\u00a0Avnue due to no other units being available. Officers arrived on scene and the scene was secured until\u00a0other units could arrive. Officers were called to U.S. 10 for a report of a women pushing a baby stroller in the road. Officers\u00a0arrived on scene to find that the women was on the shoulder of the roadway and there was no\u00a0violation. Osceola County Sheriff's Office 4-27 A deputy was dispatched to meet with a suicidal subject who was in Lincoln Township. Upon arrival the Deputy secured the scene, and through investigation, discovered that said subject was a danger to themselves and others. At that time the subject was taken to\u00a0Spectrum Health\u00a0Reed City Hospital for a mental evaluation. A deputy was dispatched to an Orient Township residence on the report of a larceny complaint. Upon arrival it was discovered that someone had entered the complainant\u2019s shed and took a red colored rottotiller. The deputy completed his on scene investigation; however this case is open pending contact with a suspect. 4-28 Deputies investigated two vehicle crashes, which occurred within Evart and Hersey Townships. Deputies were dispatched to a Hersey Township home on the report of a domestic assault complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured and through investigation it was discovered that an assault did occur between two subjects involved in a domestic relationship. At that time the aggressor was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident. 4-29 A deputy was dispatched to a Burdell Township residence on the report of a possible violation of a court order (personal protection order). Upon arrival the deputy spoke with all parties involved and forwarded his report to the Circuit Court Judge for review. A deputy was dispatched to Burdell Township on the report of a full-size Chevrolet truck driving recklessly. Upon arrival the deputy patrolled the area; however said vehicle was not located. 4-30 Deputies were dispatched to a Hersey Township home on the report of a 9-1-1 hang-up complaint. Upon arrival the Deputies spoke with the occupants of the home, and it was discovered that they were having an issue with their phone line. The deputies then cleared the scene once their assistance was no longer needed. A deputy was dispatched to Sylvan Township on the report of a larceny of gasoline complaint. Upon arrival it was discovered that an early 2000\u2019s burgundy or gray GMC sierra truck left the store without paying for their fuel. The deputy completed his investigation and cleared the scene without incident. 5-01 Deputies were dispatched to Middle Branch Township on the report of a suspicious vehicle complaint. Through investigation the suspicious vehicle was located, and it was discovered they were in the area looking for a potential missing person. The deputies then cleared the scene after verifying the subject\u2019s credentials. 5-02 Deputies were dispatched to a Highland Township home on the report of an assault and battery complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured and through investigation it was discovered that an assault did occur between the suspect and victim. The deputies completed their investigation and forwarded this incident to the Prosecutor\u2019s Office for charges. Deputies were dispatched to the City of Reed City, as a bear was seen near the covered bridge. The deputies patrolled the area; however the bear was not located. 5-03 Deputies investigated two vehicle crashes, and one crash with injuries. Incidents occurred within Richmond, Hersey and Evart Townships. Deputies were dispatched to Sylvan Township on the report of a suspicious vehicle being parked in the complainant\u2019s driveway. Upon arrival the suspicious vehicle was located, and through investigation it was discovered that the operator of said vehicle was operating the van with an improper registration plate. The operator was issued a misdemeanor citation for this offence and the van was towed from the scene. The deputies then transported the operator of the van to a secondary location.
