REED CITY — The following cases were heard this week in Osceola County’s 49th Circuit Court. Not all cases are reported.

Franklin Ernest Stocker, 18, of Evart, pleaded guilty to larceny of prescription pills from within a building. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 123 days credit, and will be on probation for two years. Stocker also pleaded guilty to one count of breaking and entering a garage with intent to commit larceny and one count of larceny of a Christmas card containing money. He was sentenced to 240 days in jail for the former charge and 180 days in jail for the latter. All Stocker’s sentences will run concurrently.

Joseph Gene Porter, 29, of Cadillac, pleaded guilty to larceny of between $1,000 and $20,000 of farm machinery and scrap metal. The Osceola County Prosecutor’s Office recommended a one-year delay of sentence. A sentencing date has not been set.

Jerry Louis Phipps, 41, of Hersey, pleaded guilty to fleeing from an officer. The Osceola County Prosecutor’s Office recommended a one-year delay of sentence. If successful, the charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor. A sentencing date has not been set.

Charles Hill, 49, of Reed City, pleaded guilty to one count of delivery of the controlled substance morphine and one count of maintaining a drug house. He was sentenced to 11 months jail for the first charge and nine months in jail for the second charge; however, his jail time will be suspended unless he commits another violation. His driver’s license will be suspended for six months and he will be on probation for two years.
