The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office investigated several complaints for the above week.  The following is a brief summery for some of that activity which occurred.

● While conducting stationary radar within Orient Township, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to make a complete stop at a stop sign.  Through investigation it was determined that said operator was operating their vehicle while intoxicated.  The operator was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

● Deputies were dispatched to a Burdell Township home on the report of a domestic assault complaint.  Upon arrival the scene was secured, and through investigation it was discovered that said offender had assaulted two separate subjects.  At that time the offender was arrested for the assault, violating their probation and for 2 valid Wexford County warrants.  The offender was then transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

● While on patrol in Sherman Township, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation.  Through investigation it was discovered that said operator was operating their vehicle without insurance.  At that time the operator was issued a misdemeanor citation for said offence, and their vehicle was towed from the scene.

● Deputies were dispatched to a Sylvan Township home on the report of a residential alarm complaint.  Upon arrival the home was found to be unsecured, and a search of said residence yielded no evidence of suspicious activity.  The deputies then met with the home owner, and cleared the scene once everything was found to be in order.

● Deputies investigated three vehicle crashes, which occurred within Leroy, Lincoln and Sherman Townships.

● Deputies conducted a court-ordered mental transport to a Grand Rapids mental hospital.  The transport was conducted without incident.

● Deputies investigated three vehicle crashes, which occurred within Highland and Leroy Townships.

● Deputies responded to a Richmond Township home, and arrested a subject for a valid warrant, which was issued out of Grand Traverse County.  While the deputies were completing this arrest, some suspected narcotics were found in the suspects possessions.  The suspect was then transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

● Deputies investigated three vehicle crashes, which occurred within Richmond, Osceola and Sherman Townships.

● Deputies investigated a possible stalking complaint, which occurred within the Village of Leroy.  The investigation was completed and was forwarded to the proper authorities for review.

● While conducting stationary radar within Burdell Township, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation.  Through investigation it was discovered that said operator was operating their vehicle while intoxicated.  At that time the operator was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

● Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a Richmond Township vehicle, as they received information that said vehicle was possibly operating while intoxicated.  Through investigation it was discovered that said operator was operating said vehicle while intoxicated, with a suspended driver’s license and was transporting open intoxicants.  The operator was then arrested and transported to Spectrum Health—Reed City, as they were a danger to themselves and others.  Once at the hospital additional charges were revealed, and eventually the operator was transported to the Osceola County Jail.
