Reed City Police Report 05\/23-05\/29 5\/23 n While on patrol officers observed several residence in violation of city ordinances for tall grass and brush along with trash and inoperable and or unregistered vehicles.\u00a0 The appropriate Abatement paperwork was served to the property owners.\u00a0 n Officers were dispatched to the Spectrum Health Reed City Campus Emergency Room regarding a 56 year old female who appeared to have injuries consistent with those of an assault.\u00a0 The RCPD\u2019s investigation led Officers to local an apartment complex where they arrested a 60 year old male for on domestic assault charges.\u00a0 He was transported and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident. n Officers were dispatched to local residence regarding the loss of power in a second floor tenants\u2019 apartment.\u00a0 The tenants believed the first floor tenants were shutting the power off. It was discovered fuses were being blown due to power consumption and the downstairs tenant no longer had replacement fuses. Both parties were advised to contact their landlord. n Officer received a complaint of a juvenile discharging a pellet rifle inside city limits. The matter is under investigation. 5\/25 n Officers were dispatched to local business regarding a 20 year old male with a warrant for his arrest was suspected to be.\u00a0 Upon the Officers arrival the male fled on foot. While checking a second business location staff informed them that the individual just jumped out the back window.\u00a0 Officers set up a perimeter called in a canine unit to assist with the search through the marsh and woods out back of the business.\u00a0 The male was located by the canine unit shortly thereafter and arrested and transported to Osceola County Sheriffs Department without any further incident.\u00a0 n Officers were called to assist with a delinquent juvenile.\u00a0 The boy was non compliant with Officers.\u00a0 He was transported to the custody of his parents. n Officers were requested to assist Child Protective Services with a parent interview at a local apartment complex.\u00a0 n Officers served trash abatement paperwork to the property owner of vacant house.\u00a0 The property owner agreed to have the items removed within the allotted amount of time.\u00a0 n Officers make contact with local resident and served vehicle abatement paperwork. n Officers were called to an assault between juveniles. The matter is under investigation. 5\/26 n Officers responded to a local apartment complex regarding a noise complaint.\u00a0 The matter was unfounded at that time.\u00a0 Case closed. n Officers observed suspicious individual walking around town in the early hours of the morning.\u00a0 The individual stated he had lived out of town and had to appear in court first thing in the morning and had no place to stay until then.\u00a0 No criminal activity was taking place and officers cleared n Officers were called to take possession of a debit card that had been left at an ATM machine. Officers located and returned the card to the owner. n Officers were dispatched to suspicious social media comments that the caller believed were threatening. Officers viewed the messages and a report was completed. n Officers served an abatement notice for an unsafe structure. n Officers were dispatched to a verbal argument between tenants. Both were advised to have no contact with each other and no further problems have been reported. n Officers were called to a suspicious parked vehicle. The caller believed it may be two evicted tenants that had returned and planned to harm him. It was determined to be the neighbor\u2019s vehicle. 5\/27 n Officers assisted EMS and rescue with an individual having a cardiac episode at a local business. The individual was transported to the hospital by EMS for treatment. n Officers were called to take a report of damage to an antique vehicle. A report was completed and it is not believed to be intentional damage. n Officers served numerous grass, trash, and vehicle abatement notices. n Officers were called to check the well being of an infant. Neighbors reported what they believed to be yelling. Contact was made and the infant was found to be cared for and well. n Officers were called to assist in locating a mental health patient who had walked away from medical care. The individual was discovered to have gotten a ride and was located at his residence in Lake County 5\/29 n Officers were dispatched to a burglar alarm at a local business. The building was found to be secure and the alarm was tripped by a bat flying around in the interior. n Officer located a broken down vehicle that was partially blocking the road. Officers stood by with the vehicle until the tow truck arrived.
