OSCEOLA COUNTY— The following cases were heard this week in Osceola County’s 77th District Court. Not all cases are reported.

  • Michael Clayton Corbett, 37, of Baldwin, pleaded no contest to assault and battery. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with one day credit. His jail sentence was delayed pending his actions on probation. He was placed on one year of probation and must continue outpatient counseling.
  • Lisa Anne Salisbury, 28, of Big Rapids, pleaded guilty to domestic violence. She was sentenced to time served and placed on one year probation.
  • Joshua Michael Ruppert, 38, of Reed City, pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle while impaired. He was sentenced to five days in jail with one day credit, but may elect to complete 32 hours of community service in lieu of jail time. He also was placed on six months probation.
  • Michael Anthony Hallock, 26, of Evart, pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance and while his driver’s license was suspended. He was sentenced to time served.
  • Damien Joseph Decatur, 24, of Cadillac, pleaded guilty to assault and battery. He was sentenced to 45 days in jail with two days credit. He was placed on two years probation and outpatient counseling.
  • Chad Orvil Platz, 21, of Grayling, pleaded guilty to drunk driving and a second offense of driving while his driver’s license was suspended. He was sentenced to time served and placed on 18 months of probation.
  • Felicia Ann Beemer, 31, of Reed City, pleaded guilty to excessive noise. She was sentenced to fines and court cost.
  • William Thomas White, 22, of Paris, pleaded guilty to careless use of a firearm. He was sentenced to time served.
  • Cheryl Lynne Pipoly, 49, of Kingsley, pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. She was sentenced to time served and placed on six months probation. She also must complete Alcohol Highway Safety Education.
  • Robert Christopher Ryan, 43, of Evart, pleaded guilty to driving while his license was suspended. He was sentenced to time served.
