REED CITY — The following cases were heard this week in Osceola County’s 77th District Court.

  • Scott Russel Okopski, 19, of Luther, pleaded guilty to attempting to flee a police officer. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail with five days served, or 40 hours of community service in lieu of jail time. He also will be on probation for 12 months.
  • Derek Williams Green, 28, of Hillman, pleaded guilty to driving while impaired by marijuana. He was sentenced to five days in jail with two days served, or 24 hours of community service in lieu of jail time. He also will be on probation for six months.
  • Bryant Allen Knapp, 24, of Evart, pleaded guilty to breaking and entering without permission. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail with four days served, or 48 hours community service. He also must complete an economic crime program and will be on probation for 12 months.
  • Steven Paul Merrill Jr., 30, of Sears, pleaded guilty to two counts of drunk and disorderly conduct. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail with three days served. His jail time is being held in abeyance. If he fails any conditions of his probation, jail will be imposed immediately.
  • Edward Stewart Mitchell Jr., 36, of Evart, pleaded guilty to domestic violence. He was sentenced to 22 days in jail with 22 days served. He must complete an Alternatives to Violence class and will be on probation for 12 months.
  • Michael Patrick Staniszewski, 39, of Tustin, pleaded guilty to operating while visibly impaired. He was sentenced to three days in jail with three days served. He also must complete a D.A.T.E. program and will be on probation for six months.
  • Kyle Thomas Johnson, 17, of Evart, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct - jostling. His must complete an Anger Management class and will be on probation for six months.
  • Felecia Ann Grein-Cook, 29, of Reed City, pleaded guilty to operating without proof of insurance. She was sentenced to 40 hours of community service.
  • Bradley Allen Champagne, 33, of Evart, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct - jostling and trespassing. He was sentenced to three days in jail with three days served and must pay $770 in court costs.
  • Steven Bradley Merrill, 50, of Sears, pleaded guilty to domestic violence - his second offense. He was sentenced to 45 days in jail with three days served. His sentence will be held in abeyance pending completion of 12 months of probation and an Alternatives to Violence class.
  • Jaime Laureen Doran, 33, of Cadillac, pleaded guilty to two counts of animals at large. She was sentenced to 12 months probation and 40 hours of community service.
  • Richard Leroy Eisenhauer Jr., 44, of Marion, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct - jostling. He was sentenced to three days in jail with three days served. He also must complete an Alternatives to Violence class, serve 40 hours of community service, pay restitution of $79 and will be on probation for 12 months.
  • Anthony James Morneau, 36, of Paris, pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with one day served. He also will be on probation for 24 months.
