The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office investigated several complaints for the above week. The following is a brief summery for some of that activity which occurred.

11/04

While patrolling within Burdell Township, a sergeant performed a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. Through investigation the sergeant discovered that said driver was operating their vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants (high B.A.C.). At that time the driver was then arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies investigated 3 vehicle crashes, which occurred within Osceola, Lincoln and Middle Branch Townships.

11/05

Deputies were dispatched to a Sylvan Township home on the report of an assault complaint. Upon arrival the deputies discovered that said victim was struck several times by the aggressor. At that time the aggressor was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies investigated a breaking and entering complaint, which occurred within Evart Township. Upon arrival the deputies discovered that someone had entered the complaints remote hunting trailer and removed some items. The deputies completed their investigation and cleared the scene without incident.

Deputies investigated three vehicle crashes which occurred within Highland, Evart and Sylvan Townships.

Deputies were dispatched to an Evart Township home on the report of an assault and home invasion complaint. Upon arrival the deputies secured the scene and completed their investigation. The deputies then cleared the scene and forwarded this incident report to the Prosecutor’s Office for charges.

Deputies arrested a Richmond Township subject on the strength of a valid friend of the court warrant. The subject was taken into custody and was lodged at the Osceola County jail without incident.

Deputies were dispatched to a Rose Lake Township home on the report of a domestic assault complaint. Upon arrival the deputies secured the scene, and through investigation, determined the victim was assaulted by the suspect. At that time the suspect was arrested for this incident; however while the deputies were carrying out this arrest they discovered a moderate amount of suspected marijuana within the suspects possession. The suspect was then transported to the Osceola County Jail and lodged on the above violations.

Deputies were dispatched to a Cedar Township home on the report of an assault complaint. Upon arrival the deputies secured the scene, and through investigation, discovered the victim was assaulted by a suspect. At that time the deputies located said suspects in this matter. 1 subject was arrested for the assault and another was arrested for being an accessory to the assault and being a minor in possession of alcohol. Both Hersey Township residents were transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies were dispatched to an Orient Township home on the report of a possible domestic assault complaint. Upon arrival the deputies secured the scene and discovered that two subjects were involved in a verbal argument, and that no assault had occurred. The deputies then cleared the scene once their assistance was no longer needed.

Deputies were dispatched to an Evart Township home, as an unknown suspicious vehicle was parked in the complainant’s driveway, and the driver appeared to be intoxicated. Upon arrival the deputies secured the scene, and through investigation, determined that said operator was operating their vehicle while they were intoxicated (high B.A.C.), was driving while their license was suspended and was transporting an open intoxicant. The driver was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies investigated 5 vehicle crashes, which occurred within Highland, Burdell, Richmond and Sylvan Townships.

Deputies were dispatched to a Hersey Township home on the report of an open 911 line. Upon arrival the deputies secured the scene, and discovered that a subject was being unruly, however had left prior to the deputies arrival. The deputies then cleared the scene once their assistance was no longer needed.

Deputies were dispatched to Richmond Township on the report of a two vehicle crash involving injuries. Upon arrival the deputies discovered the at-fault vehicle was impeding traffic, which caused the accident. The at-fault driver was issued a citation for this offence, while the driver of the non-at fault vehicle was arrested for operating while intoxicated. That driver was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies were conducting stationary radar within Leroy Township, when a speeding violation was observed and a traffic stop was performed. Through investigation it was discovered that said driver was operating their vehicle while intoxicated (high B.A. C.). At that time the driver was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.
