Osceola County Sheriff's Report, March 11-17

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office investigated several complaints for the above week. The following is a brief summery for some of that activity which occurred.

March 11: A sergeant was dispatched to Marion Township on the report of an out of control juvenile. Upon arrival the scene was secured and said juvenile had calmed down. Probate Court was notified and this report was sent to the prosecutor’s office for review.

March 12: Deputies were dispatched to the City of Evart for a stolen vehicle report. Upon arrival the deputies discovered that the complainant’s vehicle had been taken by a known subject. The deputies located said vehicle a short time later, with said suspect operating. The suspect was then arrested for numerous offences, and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies investigated 2 vehicle crashes, which occurred within Leroy and Marion Townships.

March 13: Deputies investigated 2 vehicle crashes, which occurred within Highland and Richmond Townships.

Deputies were dispatched to Marion Township on the report of a horse running loose on the roadway. Upon arrival the deputies patrolled the area, however were unable to locate said horse.

March 14: Deputies arrested 2 subjects, within Richmond Township, on valid warrants. Both subjects were secured and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

A deputy was dispatched to Marion Township on the report of a suspicious vehicle, which was seen in the area. Upon arrival the deputy located said vehicle and operator, and cleared the scene once the subject’s credentials and alibi were verified.

March 15: Deputies investigated 4 vehicle crashes, which occurred within Hersey, Evart, Sherman and Richmond Townships.

A sergeant arrested a subject on a valid warrant, within the City of Reed City. The subject was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

A deputy investigated a larceny of scrap brake rotors, which occurred at a business within the Village of Leroy. The deputy completed his investigation and cleared the scene without incident.

March 16: Deputies were dispatched to Lincoln Township on the report of a suspicious subject complaint. Upon arrival deputies located said subject, verified their credentials and alibi. The deputies then stayed in the area until said subject boarded a bus and left the area.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence within Rose Lake Township on the report of an attempted suicide complaint. Upon arrival the deputies secured the scene, and determined that said subject was a danger to themselves and others. At that time said subject as taken into protective custody and was transported to Spectrum Health—Reed City for a mental and medical evaluation.

March 17: A sergeant conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, within Richmond Township, for an equipment violation. Through investigation it was discovered that the operator was operating their vehicle while intoxicated. The operator was then arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies investigated a breaking and entering complaint, which occurred within Richmond Township. Upon arrival the deputies discovered that someone had entered the complainant’s pole barn and had taken rims and tires. The deputies completed their investigation and cleared the scene without incident.
