The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office investigated several complaints for the week. The following is a brief summery for some of that activity which occurred.

A Deputy was dispatched to the Village of Marion on the report of a larceny complaint. Upon arrival the deputy discovered that someone had entered a plumbing display trailer, and took several bathroom fixtures. The deputy completed his investigation and cleared the scene once his assistance was no longer needed.

Deputies were dispatched to a Hersey Township juvenile holding facility on the report of two residents running away. Upon arrival the deputies began their investigation, and ultimately located the juveniles at a Richmond Township business. The juveniles were taken into custody and were transported back to the holding facility without incident. This report has been forwarded to the Prosecutor’s office for charges.

Deputies were dispatched to a Reed City business on the report of a domestic assault complaint, which was reported to be in progress. Upon arrival the deputies secured the scene, and through investigation, determined that an assault did occur between two subjects involved in a domestic relationship. At that time the aggressor was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Upon arrival the scene was secured, and through investigation, determined that an assault did occur between two subjects involved in a domestic relationship. At that time the aggressor was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies were dispatched to a Burdell Township business on the report of an audible alarm complaint. Upon arrival the building was checked and was found to be secure. The Deputies then cleared the scene once their assistance was no longer needed.

Deputies investigated two vehicle crashes, which occurred within Lincoln and Evart townships.

A sergeant was dispatched to a Reed City residence on the report of an Alzheimer’s subject walking away from said residence. Upon arrival the sergeant secured the scene, and after a short time, the missing subject was located by staff at a local church. The subject was returned to said residence, where assistance was offered to the elderly residents.

Deputies investigated three vehicle crashes, which occurred within Leroy and Highland townships.

Deputies were dispatched to a Burdell Township business on the report of an audible alarm. Upon arrival the building was checked and everything was found to be secured. The deputies then cleared the scene once their assistance was no longer needed.

Deputies were dispatched to the Village of Hersey on the report of two subjects stopping at residences and offering free meat. The deputies thoroughly patrolled the area; however the subjects were not located.

Deputies were dispatched to a Lincoln Township home on the report of a domestic assault complaint. Upon arrival the deputies secured the scene, and through investigation, determined that an assault did occur between two siblings. At that time the aggressor was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

While on patrol within Lincoln Township, deputies stopped a vehicle which was driving recklessly. Through investigation it was discovered that said operator was driving their vehicle while under the influence of drugs (second offence). The driver was then arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

While on routine patrol within Leroy Township, Deputies stopped a vehicle for disregarding a stop sign. Through investigation it was discovered that said operator was driving their vehicle intoxicated (first offence), and was also operating on a suspended license. The driver was then arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies were dispatched to a Richmond Township business on the report of a subject, who was sleeping in their vehicle, while parked at the gas pumps. Upon arrival contact was made with the driver, and through investigation it was discovered that said driver was operating their vehicle while intoxicated (second offence). At that time said driver was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.
