The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office investigated several complaints for the above week. The following is a brief summery for some of that activity which occurred.

10/14

Deputies investigated two vehicle crashes, which occurred within Osceola and Cedar Townships.

Deputies were dispatched to Burdell Township on the report of a residential alarm. Upon arrival the deputies checked the residence and found everything to be secured.

10/15

Deputies were dispatched to Cedar Township on the report of lost hunters. Upon arrival the deputies discovered that 2 hunters were tracking a wounded deer and ultimately became lost. While the deputies were completing this investigation the hunters returned to said hunting camp, and were safe and sound.

A deputy was dispatched to Evart Township, on the report of someone making unauthorized charges on the complainant’s credit card. Upon arrival the deputy began his investigation and cleared the scene without incident.

Deputies were dispatched to Hartwick Township on the report of a 911 hang-up call. Upon arrival the deputies found everything to be secure, however located one subject who had two valid warrants issued for their arrest. At that time the subject was taken into custody and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies investigated two vehicle crashes, which occurred within Richmond Township.

Deputies investigated six vehicle crashes which occurred within Richmond, Sherman, Hersey and Richmond Townships.

A deputy was dispatched to Hersey Township on the report of an assault complaint. Upon arrival the deputy discovered that the victim was assaulted by an acquaintance; however the assault was unprovoked. The deputy completed his investigation and cleared the scene and attempted to make contact with the suspect; however was unable to. This complaint is open pending further investigation.

Deputies were dispatched to Rose Lake Township on the report of a residential alarm. Upon arrival the deputies checked the residence and found everything to be secure.

Deputies were dispatched to a juvenile detainment home, within Hersey Township, on the report of an assault and battery complaint. Upon arrival the deputies secured the scene and determined that a staff member was assaulted by a resident. The deputies completed their investigation and cleared the scene. This report was forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for charges.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office K-9 units performed “k-9 sniffs” for illegal contraband, within the lockers at Pine River Schools. The assist was completed without incident, and nothing illegal was located.

Deputies were dispatched to Evart Township on the report of an assault and battery complaint. Upon arrival the deputies secured the scene and determined that the victim was assaulted by the suspect. At that time the investigation was completed, and the deputies cleared the scene without incident. This case has been forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for charges.

Deputies were dispatched to a business, within Evart Township, on the report of a robbery complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured and it was determined that two white male subjects wearing camouflage clothing entered said store, pushed down an employee and took an undetermined amount of money. The two suspects then left west bound on US-10 driving a light blue colored Ford Ranger. The deputies completed their investigation and cleared the scene, along with notifying the surrounding jurisdictions. This complaint is open pending further investigation.

Deputies investigated one vehicle crash and one vehicle crash with injuries. Incidents occurred within Burdell and Evart Townships.
