The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office investigated several complaints for the past week. The following is a brief summery for some of that activity which occurred.

9/23

Deputies were dispatched to a business, within Leroy Township, on the report of an audible alarm. Upon arrival the deputies checked the exterior and interior with a key holder, and found everything to be secure. The deputies then cleared once their assistance was no longer needed.

Deputies investigated 2 vehicle crashes, which occurred within Hartwick and Evart Townships.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence, with in Lincoln Township, on the report of a 911 hang-up complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured and the deputies discovered that everything was ok, as the home owner was working with an insurance company via telephone, and accidentally dialed 911. The deputies then cleared the scene once their assistance was no longer needed.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence, within Orient Township, on the report of a subject attempting harm themselves with a pair of scissors. Upon arrival the deputies secured the scene, discovered that said subject was a danger to themselves, and had possible self inflicted injuries. At that time said subject checked out by E.M.S. and was transported to the Reed City Spectrum Health for a mental evaluation.

Deputies investigated 4 vehicle crashes, which occurred within Orient, Richmond, Hersey and Cedar Townships.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence, within Leroy Township, on the report of a domestic assault complaint, which was in progress. Upon arrival the deputies secured the scene, and observed said aggressor outside the residence destroying the victim’s vehicle with a sword and an ax. At that time the deputies approached the residence and took said subject into custody without incident. The deputies completed their investigation, and said aggressor was transported to the Osceola County Jail where they were lodged on several charges.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop, within Leroy Township, on a vehicle for speeding. Through investigation the deputies discovered that said operator was driving their vehicle while suspended, and was also in possession of suspected marijuana. The driver was arrested and transported the Osceola County Jail without incident.

A deputy was dispatched to a residence, within Evart Township, on the report of an assault and battery. Upon arrival the deputy secured the scene and discovered that said aggressor assaulted 3 separate subjects within said home. At that time the aggressor was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, within Hersey Township, for speeding. Through investigation the deputy discovered that said driver was operating their vehicle while intoxicated, and was in possession of an open intoxicant. The subject was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputy was dispatched to Lincoln Township on the report of a suspicious vehicle following a school bus. Upon arrival the deputy located the suspicious vehicle, and conducted a traffic stop. Through investigation it was discovered that said vehicle was following the school bus, as they were picking up their children. At that time the deputy validated the driver’s credentials and statement, and cleared the scene without incident.

A sergeant conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, within Rose Lake Township, for failing to stop at a stop sign. Through investigation it was discovered that said driver was operating their vehicle while intoxicated. At that time the driver was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies investigated one vehicle crash and one crash involving injuries. Incidents occurred within Evart Townships.

Deputies investigated 5 vehicle crashes, which occurred within Rose Lake, Marion, Budell, Hartwick and Evart Townships.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence, within Richmond Township, on the report of a larceny complaint. Upon arrival the deputies discovered that a known acquaintance of the victim was suspected of taking contents from the victim’s residence. At that time the deputies cleared the scene and attempted contact with said suspect, however they were unsuccessful. At that time the deputies cleared the scene, however this case is open pending contact with the suspect.
