● An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a suspicious situation.  The officer searched the building and cleared without incident.

● An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a civil dispute. The officer stood by until the parties involved reached a mutual agreement.

● An officer was dispatched to a two car accident, there were no injuries.

● An officer was dispatched to a business reference an alarm. The officer searched the building and surrounding area.

● An officer was dispatched to a complaint of a juvenile runaway.  The juvenile later returned home and secure.

● An officer was dispatched to a complaint of a dog at large.  The officer made contact with the owner, and a citation was issued.

● An officer took a found property report (woman’s wallet).  The property will be kept at the Evart Police Department for 30 days or until claimed by the owner.

● An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a civil complaint.  The officer advised the parties the matter would have to be resolved in civil court.

● An officer was dispatched to a business reference a 911 hang up.  It was determined that the call was the result of an occupant error.

● An officer was dispatched to a residence reference an unruly juvenile.  The officer spoke to all parties involved and the case is closed.

● An officer was dispatched to an area check reference a suspicious vehicle.  The vehicle left the area prior to the officer’s arrival.

● An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a larceny of a yard gnome.  The gnome is two foot in height and the shirt color of the statue is orange.  The case remains open pending further investigation.  If you know any information regarding this larceny please contact the Evart Police Department at  (231) 734-5911.

● An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a noise complaint.  The officer spoke to the resident, and advised them of the City’s ordinance.

● Officers handled a walk in harassment complaint.  Through investigation it was determined that the harassment was occurring outside the City limits of Reed City.  The complainant was provided with a course of action.

● Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot of a business.

● Officers responded to the school for a complaint of minors under the influence of alcohol.  Officers investigated the complaint and found that one student did in fact have alcohol in her system.

● Officers were called for a suspicious situation.  The caller reported a gas can in the middle of a business parking lot.  Officers arrived on scene and took possession of the gas can.  It appears it was left there by accident.

● Officers responded to a property damage accident on N Patterson Rd.  A vehicle had struck a deer on US 10.  There was minor damage and no injuries to the occupants.  A report was completed.

● Officers investigated a turfing complaint at the school.  A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

● Officers on patrol observed that the storage shed for youth baseball at a City Park had been broken into.  A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

● Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  It was determined that the driver was operating on a suspended license.  The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

● Officers were called to a business for people rummaging through their dumpster.  The subjects had left the scene prior to the officer arriving.

● Officers responded to a business for a well being check.  The complainant stated she showed up to the business and it was wide open and no one was there.  Officers were able to contact the owner of the business and everything was ok, she forgot to close the door when she left.

● Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex for a noise complaint.  Upon arrival no noise was heard, the complaint was unfounded.

● Officers were called for juvenile runaway complaint.  The child was located at a friend’s house, taken into custody and returned to her parents.  A report was forwarded to probate court.

● Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex for damage to a vehicle.  The complainant stated that a vehicle was just parked next to hers and scratched and dented her vehicle.  Upon arrival and investigating the scene the complaint was unfounded.

● Officers on patrol located an open gate at a business in the city.  The property owner was contacted.

● Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  It was discovered that the driver was operating without a license and also had an outstanding warrant for driving without a valid license.  The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

● Officers responded to a residence for a harassing text messages complaint.  The suspect was contacted and advised to stop sending the messages or the complainant would seek criminal charges.

● Officers were dispatched to a trailer park for a noise complaint.  The subject was located and given a warning.

● Officers on patrol located and arrested a female subject with an outstanding warrant for assault.  The subject was transported to and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

● Officers were dispatched to the Court House for a witness intimidation complaint.  The complainant reported that she was being harassed and threatened by the victim’s relatives in the case.  A report was completed and turned over to the State Police who handled the initial case.

● Officers were called to a trailer park for suspicious people hanging out in the parking lot that did not live there.  Upon arrival officers made contact with the individuals and one of the subjects had three outstanding warrants out of Mecosta County.  The subject was arrested and turned over to Mecosta County Officials.

● Officers on patrol stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  It was discovered that the driver was operating on a suspended license.  The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

● Officers responded to a business for a child custody dispute.  The complainant was provided with a course of action then arrested on three outstanding warrants out of Reed City and Mecosta County.  The subject was transported to and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

● Officers were dispatched to a residence for a larceny of a dog complaint.  The complainant returned home to find that her dog was stolen from her yard while she was gone.  A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

● Officers were called to an apartment complex for a trespassing complaint.  The suspect told the complainant that he was a private investigator.  Upon arrival the subject was gone.  A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

● Officers responded to an apartment complex for a noise complaint.  Upon arrival no noise was heard.  The complaint was unfounded.

● Officers were dispatched to a residence for a phone harassment complaint.  The complainant stated he was being harassed by his son’s ex-girlfriend.  The suspect was located and given a warning.

● Officers responded to a business for a stalking complaint.  The complainant stated that she was being followed by a male subject.  As the complainant was talking to the officer the suspect pulled into the parking lot of the business.  Officers made contact with the suspect and advised him to stop following and harassing the complainant.  The complainant did not wish to press charges at this time.  A report was completed.

● Officers checked a residence and attempted to locate a subject that was wanted for questioning by the Big Rapids Department of Public Safety for a fleeing and eluding a police officer.

11/04

● Officers were requested to do an area check in the woods in the 300 block of W Church St.  Central Dispatch was receiving numerous 911 hang up calls from a cell phone in this area.  Officers checked the area and were not able to locate anyone.

● Officers issued a vehicle abatement for an unregistered vehicle parked at a residence.  The vehicle owner has the allotted time to correct the violation or further enforcement action will be taken.
