Evart Police Report — 9/04 - 9-08

  09/04 An officer conducted a traffic stop for failure to stop at a stop sign, the driver was found to be operating the vehicle without a valid license. The driver was issued a misdemeanor appearance citation. While on patrol an officer identified an individual as having an outstanding warrant. The suspect was arrested, transported to Osceola County Sheriff’s Department and lodged on charges. An officer was dispatched to a business reference a larceny complaint. The case remains open pending further investigation.   09/05 An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a domestic violence complaint. The suspect was arrested, transported to Osceola County Sheriff’s Department and lodged on charges. An officer was dispatched to assist the Michigan State Police on a complaint outside the city. An officer is investigating a criminal sexual conduct case involving a minor.  
09/06 An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a disturbance complaint. The officer spoke to the parties, who had resolved the issue prior to the Officer’s arrival. An officer was dispatched to assist the Midland County Sheriff’s Department on a complaint outside the city.  
09/07 An officer was dispatched to assist the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department on a complaint outside the city.   09/08 An officer was dispatched to a one car private property damage accident, there were no injuries.  

Reed City Police Report — 9/03 - 9-09

09/03 Officers were called to the hospital for a disorderly subject that was suicidal. Officers arrived on scene and were able to get the subject to calm down. There were no further incidents. Officers were dispatched to a residence for an alarm. Upon arrival it was determined that an alarm clock inside of the house was going off. The property owner was notified. Officers responded to a civil matter between a landlord and a former tenant. The subjects wereadvised that the matter was civil and provided with a course of action. Officers were dispatched to a missing person complaint. The complainant stated that his wife had left and has not been heard from since. Officers were able to locate the wife and everything was ok. Officers were called to a residence for a fight outside of a residence. Upon arrival it was determined that the two subjects agreed to go into a dog cage and fight. There were numerous minors that were found to have been drinking and were given appearance citations. Another subject was arrested for probation violation for violating the conditions of his probation.   09/04 Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex for an assault complaint. The victim’s child told his mother that he was hit with a stick. Officers investigated the complaint and it was determined to be accidental and the matter is closed. Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was operating on a suspended license. The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident. Officers responded to a residence for a landlord/tenant dispute. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the parties who were provided with a course of action. Officers assisted Child Protective Services on a home inspection at a residence in the city. Officers responded to the Post Office for a hit and run private property damage accident. A vehicle had struck the mail drop box causing one of the windows to shatter and then left the scene. A report has been completed and the matter is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Reed City Police Department. Officers were called to a residence for a noise complaint. Officers made contact with the subjects who were given a warning.   09/05 Officers handled a found property complaint. The complainant found a debit card near his vehicle. Officers responded to a barking dog complaint. The dog owner was located and given a warning. Officers issued a brush abatement to a property owner. The owner has the allotted time to correct the violation or further enforcement action will be taken. Officers located subjects trespassing at the old dam site. The subjects were given a warning and advised to the leave the property. Officers were called to the bridge on N Chestnut St for a suicidal person who had jumped off the bridge. Officers arrived on scene and the subject had fled. The subject was later located hiding in a residence and was taken into custody for probation violation and obstructing police and was lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident. Officers on patrol located damage to a picnic table at Westerburg Park. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.   09/06 Officers responded to the Elementary School for a fire alarm. The alarm was determined to be false. Officers were dispatched to a residence for cat problem. The cat owner was given a warning for allowing her cats to roam at large. Officers investigated a stalking complaint. The complainant stated that she is being contacted by her ex-boyfriend and that one of his conditions of probation is to have no contact with her. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation. Officers responded to a dog at large complaint. The dog had killed a cat. The dog was taken into custody and lodged at the Animal Shelter until claimed by the owner. The matter is still under investigation. Officers were dispatched to a civil matter at the Motel. The complainant was advised that her complaint was not criminal and needed to be addressed with the Motel Manager. Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department at a residence for a disorderly, out of control female. Upon arrival of the officers the female subject fled on foot but was taken into custody after a foot pursuit. The subject was lodged at the Osceola County Jail. Officers were called to the hospital for a suspicious person in the parking lot. Officers arrived on scene and were not able to locate the subject.   09/07 Officers responded to a bank in the city for a fraud complaint. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the complainant. The matter is under investigation. Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex for a family dispute. Officers talked with the complainant who was provided with a course of action. Officers were called to a residence for a report of a subject taking pictures of her children in her yard. Officers arrived on scene and determined that it was the landlord taking pictures of the property. Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex for a disturbance. Upon arrival it was determined that numerous minors were intoxicated. Four minors were issued appearance citations for minor in possession of alcohol. The property manager was contacted and seven subjects were trespassed from the property.   09/08 Officer located a subject with an outstanding warrant.
