Evart Police Report 10/15 - 10/2010/15 An officer investigated a larceny of a purse complaint. The case remains open pending further investigation. 10/16 An officer was dispatched to assist the Department of Human Services on a home visit. While on patrol an officer identified an individual as having an outstanding warrant. The suspect was arrested, transported to Osceola County Sheriff’s Department and lodged on charges. 10/17 An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a domestic violence complaint. The suspect was arrested, transported to Osceola County Sheriff’s Department and lodged on charges. An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a noise complaint. The officer spoke to the complainant, and advised the suspects of the City’s ordinance.
Reed City Police Report 10/15 - 10/2010/15 Officers investigated a zoning violation at a business in the city. Officers had received complaints of people living inside the business building. The subjects were warned and the matter has been turned over to the City Manager. Officers assisted a person on S Chestnut St complaining of chest pain. EMS was summoned to the scene. Officers located a vehicle with an improper license plate. The vehicle was stopped and it was also determined that the driver was operating without insurance. The driver was given an appearance citation and the vehicle was impounded. 10/16 Officers responded to Chestnut St at Upton St for a personal injury accident. Officers arrived on scene to find minor injuries and moderate damage to the two vehicles. One of the drivers was transported to Spectrum Health via EMS. The at fault driver was cited. Officers handled a phone threats complaint. The complainant was in a different state and was receiving threats over the phone from a subject that lived in Reed City. The suspect was located and warned and the matter is closed. Officers responded to the hospital for a patient that was creating a disturbance and making threats. The subject was located and warned. The subject calmed down and there were no further problems. 10/17 Officers were dispatched to a business for an attempted Breaking and Entering complaint. The complainant stated that last week they observed cut marks on the glass door. The matter is under investigation. Officers responded to a business for a subject that was having difficulty breathing and assisted EMS. 10/18 Officers were dispatched to a residence for a larceny of a lawn mower complaint. A possible subject has been identified. The matter is under investigation. Officers were called to the hospital for a disorderly patient who ran out of the hospital to the parking lot and started taking his clothes off. Upon arrival the subject was back in the hospital and was being cooperative. The staff was advised to call back if there were any further problems. Officers were again called back a few hours later because this subject was again being uncooperative. Officers stood by while the subject was given meds to calm down. Officers responded to the school for a disruptive student. The student was talked to about his behavior and the matter was resolved. Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex for a credit card fraud complaint. It was discovered that the fraud occurred in Fremont. The complaint was turned over to the Fremont Police Department for investigation. Officers responded to a business for a turfing complaint. Through investigation it appears that the damage was accidentally caused by a garbage truck emptying the dumpster. A report was completed. Officers were dispatched to a residence for a family trouble complaint. The complainant was having problems with a relatives’ child they were watching. The complainant was provided with a course of action. 10/19 Officers responded to an apartment complex for a breaking and entering complaint. The complainant advised that she was at the downstairs apartment when some entered her upstairs apartment through the balcony and stole items and left a note by the door. A report was initiated and the matter is under investigation. Officers on patrol located a found bicycle. The bicycle was taken for safe keeping until claimed by the owner. 10/20 Officers assisted Central Dispatched in checking for a vehicle fire on US 10. The vehicle fire was located just into Lake County. Lake County was contacted. Officers assisted EMS with a female subject that was possibly having a heart attack at a business in the city. Officers on patrol located a heavily intoxicated subject lying in the roadway. The subject was transported by EMS to the hospital for alcohol poisoning. Officers were called to the hospital for an out of control patient. Officers assisted in getting the subjects into soft restraints. 10/21 Officers located a dog at large running free in the street. The dog was captured and lodged at the Animal Shelter until claimed by the owner. Officers responded to a residence for a stolen bicycle complaint. A report was taken and the matter is under investigation. Officers were dispatched to an alarm at a business in the city. The building was checked and found to be secure and the alarm was determined to be false. The property owner was notified. Officers responded to an apartment complex for a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival the male subject had fled but was located a short distance away. The male subject was suicidal and taken to the hospital to be evaluated. It was determined that the male subject had assaulted his wife and was arrested after being cleared from the hospital and lodged at
