Evart Police Report — 10/01 to 10/0710/01 An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a Breaking and Entering complaint. The case remains open pending further investigation. 10/02 An officer was dispatched to assist the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department on a traffic accident outside the city. An officer was dispatched to a possible missing juvenile. The juvenile was found to be safe and secure. An officer was dispatched to a business reference several fail to return rental property complaints. The cases remain open at this time. An officer was dispatched to a residence reference an unlawful entry complaint. The case remains open pending further investigation. 10/03 An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a larceny complaint. The case remains open pending further investigation.
Reed City Police Report — 10/01 to 10/0510/01 Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex for a threats complaint. Upon arrival it was determined to be a dispute between neighbors. The parties were advised on a course of action. Officers responded to a possible larceny complaint. The complainant advised that someone was removing vents from a house that was being foreclosed. Upon arrival it was determined to be a civil matter and a report was completed. Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was determined that the driver was operating without a valid license. The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident. Officers assisted the Michigan State Police in locating a wanted subject at the Reed City Motel. The subject was located and turned over to State Troopers. 10/02 Officers on patrol at the High School for the Powder Puff Game located a student doing tricks on his bike on school sidewalks. The student had been previously warned. The student’s bike was seized and will be turned over to the child’s parents. 10/03 Officers investigated an abandoned motorcycle at a business in the city. Officers investigated an assault complaint at the School. A report has been completed and the matter is under investigation. Officers were called to the Hospital regarding a fraud complaint. The complainant reported unauthorized charges on her credit card. The matter is under investigation. Officers were dispatched to Franklin Ave and Park St for a monster truck speeding in the area. Officers check the area and were not able to locate the truck. The complaint was unfounded. Officers responded to a residence for an assault complaint. The subjects were arguing over family matters and one subject pulled a knife out on another. One of the parties had left the scene. The report has been submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office seeking arrest warrants. Officers located an open door at a storage facility. The unit renter was contacted and the door was secured. 10/04 Officers on patrol located found property. The property was taken into safe keeping at the Police Department until claimed by the owner. Officers handled a private property damage accident at the High School involving two vehicles. There were no injuries and only minor damage. A report was completed. Officers investigated a trespassing complaint. The complainant advised that subjects were parking on his vacant lot and walking through his property and knocked his fence down. The suspects were located and given a warning. Officers handled a civil walk in complaint regarding a subject owing the complainant money. The complainant was provided with a course of action. Officers on patrol located a subject with an outstanding warrant for Friend of the Court out of Mecosta County. The subject was arrested and turned over to Mecosta County Deputies. Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was driving on a suspended license. The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident. 10/05 Officers on patrol at the Football Game locate two subjects in possession of marijuana. A report was completed and the matter is being referred to Probate Court. Officers responded to the 300 block of W Franklin Ave for a disorderly complaint. The suspect was chasing a car down the road. Officers arrived on scene and investigated the matter. A report was completed and is under review. Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was intoxicated and operating on a suspended license. The driver was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated 2nd offense and Driving on a Suspended License 2nd Offense and was lodged at the Osceo
