Reed City Police Report 11/05 - 11/11
Officers responded to a two vehicle traffic crash at the intersection of W Upton Ave at State St. One of the drivers was cited for failing to yield. There were no injuries and minor damage. A report was completed.
Officers were called to a residence for a civil matter over ownership of a cell phone. Both parties were talked to and provided with a course of action.
Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was operating with an improper license plate. The driver was given an appearance citation at the scene and released.
Officers responded to US 10 near 200th Ave for a car/deer accident. There were no injuries to the occupants and only minor damage. A report was completed.
Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department with two separate car/deer accidents on Northland Dr near 2 Mile Rd. There were no injuries to the occupants of the vehicle in either accident and only minor damage. Reports were completed.
Officers located a subject at her residence that had an outstanding warrant for larceny of a cell phone. The subject was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
Officers were called to investigate a call of alleged child abuse. A child had returned home to her mothers and told her that her father had hit her. The matter is under investigation.
Officers assisted EMS for a medical call at the Motel.
Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was operating on an expired license. The driver was issued an appearance citation at the scene and released.
Officers responded to the Motel for a civil dispute over a vehicle. The complainant had proper paperwork showing she had purchased the vehicle and was allowed to remove it from the grounds.
Officers were called for a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot of a bank with someone sitting inside the vehicle for an extended time. Upon arrival it was determined that the subject was on her lunch break reading a book.
Officers responded to a bicycle crash on the sidewalk in the 500 block of S Chestnut St. The subject was riding his bike when he struck the tongue of a trailer that was sticking out into the side walk and flipped his bike. EMS was called to the scene. The matter is under investigation.
Officers were called to a residence for a domestic in progress. Upon arrival it was determined that the male was assaulted with a glass by the female and had a laceration to his head. The female was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail on the charge of aggravated domestic assault without incident. Alcohol was a factor.
Officers were dispatched to a residence for an unwanted subject refusing to leave. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the complainant. The suspect was located and advised to leave the property and he complied.
Officers responded to a gas station for a fail to pay for fuel complaint. The suspect pumped $20.04 in fuel and left without paying. A suspect has been identified and the matter is under investigation.
Officers were called to a residence for an identity fraud complaint. The complainant stated that he attempted to purchase a firearm and was denied. It was discovered that someone in Kent County was using his name. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.
Officers on patrol located a subject with an outstanding felony warrant for embezzlement. The subject had embezzled thousands of dollars from a business in town. The subject was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department with a trespassing complaint on Lakola Rd.
Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department with a disorderly complaint at a residence in Leroy. Once the scene was secure the officer retuned to patrol duties within the city.
Officers were called to the hospital for a disorderly complaint. The suspect was discharged from the hospital and was yelling and swearing and causing a scene. Officers tried to reason with the subject and he refused to comply. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
Officers responded to a residence for a mental health complaint. The subject was having anger issues and was upset. The subject was transported to Spectrum Health to be evaluated.
Officers responded to a trailer park for an attempted suicide. The subject had cut her wrists multiple times. The scene was secured and EMS transported the subject to Spectrum Health for treatment.
Officers assisted the Michigan State Police with a traffic stop on E Church St near Roth St where drugs were found
