Evart Police Report 11/12-11/18

11/12 An officer was dispatched to a two car property damage accident, there were no injuries. An officer responded to a dog at large complaint.   11/13 An officer was dispatched to a local business reference a complaint of retail fraud. The case remains open pending further investigation. An officer was dispatched to serve a No Trespassing Order to an individual for the Evart Housing Commission. The individual was contacted and the case is closed. An officer was dispatched to a local business reference failure to return rental property complaint. The case is closed.   11/16 An officer was dispatched to a local business reference a complaint of retail fraud. The suspect was transported to the Osceola County Jail; the case remains open pending further investigation. An officer was dispatched to a local business reference a larceny complaint where a back-pack was stolen. The case is closed. An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a harassment complaint. The officer spoke with all parties involved and advised them to avoid contact with each other. The case is closed.  
11/17 While on patrol an officer identified an individual as having an outstanding warrant. The suspect was arrested, transported to Osceola County Sheriff’s Department and lodged on charges. An officer was dispatched to assist a business. The officer secured the building and cleared the scene without incident. An officer was dispatched to assist a business. The officer secured the building and cleared the scene without incident. While on a traffic stop, an officer observed an open bottle of alcohol in the vehicle; the suspect was issued a misdemeanor appearance citation.  
11/18 An officer was dispatched to assist the Osceola County Sherriff’s Department with a complaint outside of the City.  

Reed City Police Report 11/12-11/18

11/12 Officers assisted with a truancy complaint. A juvenile was refusing to go to school. The child was located and transported to school. A report was completed. Officers were called to the hospital to transport a mental subject to the Hadley Center on a court order for hospitalization. The transport was completed without incident. Officers responded to a residence for a threats complaint over laundry. Officers talked to the subjects and they were given verbal warning and provided with a course of action. The matter is closed.   11/13 Officers talked to a student at the school about assaultive behavior. The student was warned and a report was completed. Officers talked to a student about harassment at the school. The student was warned and a report was completed. Officers responded to a residence for a domestic assault in progress. Officers arrived on scene to find the victim’s adopted daughter kicking and biting him. The female suspect was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail on the charge of domestic assault without incident. Officers were called to the area of S Mill St for a dog at large. The dog was captured and transported to the Osceola County Animal Control. Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver had an outstanding warrant out of Mecosta County. The subject was turned over to Mecosta County Deputies. Officers responded to a car/deer traffic crash on E Church St near US 10. There was minor damage to the vehicle and no injury to the occupants. A report was completed. Officers were called to a residence for a civil dispute over clothing. The parties were talked to and provided with a course of action. Officers on patrol located an open gate at a business. The property was checked and the property manager was contacted.   11/14 Officers were called to investigate a minor in possession of tobacco complaint at the school. The subjects were talked to and a report was completed. Officers responded to a gas station for a gas drive off complaint. The incident was captured on the security camera. Officers are in the process of identifying the suspect. Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that one of the minors in the vehicle was in possession of tobacco products. The minor was cited into Probate Court and his parents were contacted.   11/15 Officers handled a walk in stolen credit card complaint. The complainant advised that her credit card was stolen from her apartment and then used at a business in Reed City. A possible suspect has been identified. The matter is under investigation. Officers assisted EMS on a medical call at a business where the victim had tripped and fell in a basement. Officers issued an abatement notice for trash being left at the curb. The owner has the allotted time to correct the violation or further enforcement action will be taken. Officers were called to investigate a possible child abuse complaint. The complainant was talked to and the matter has been forwarded to Child Protective Services for a joint investigation. Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle that was sitting outside a business when they were closing.   11/16 Officers responded to the hospital for a threats complaint. A subject had called and made threats to the staff. The suspect has been identified and the matter is under investigation. Officers were called to a business for an alarm. Upon arrival the building was found to be secure and the alarm was determined to be false. The property owner was contacted. Officers were dispatched to a business for a malicious destruction of property complaint. The suspect had broken off the door handle to a storage building. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.   11/17 Officers assisted a stranded motorist with a flat tire. Officers responded to a trailer park in town for a larceny from motor vehicle complaint. The victim reported that numerous CD’s were stolen from his vehicle. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.   11/18 Officers assisted the Evart Police Department in located a subject at a residence in Reed City. Officers were called to a business for a breaking and entering complaint. Numerous copper was taken from the business. The scene was investigated and a report was complete
