May 14

  • While on patrol an officer identified an individual as having an outstanding warrant. The suspect was arrested, transported to Osceola County Sheriff’s Department and lodged on charges.
  • An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a missing person complaint.  The subject contacted their family and advised that they were safe and secure. The case is closed.

May 15

  • An officer was dispatched to a harassment complaint. The officer advised the suspect to cease all contact with the complainant.
  • An officer was dispatched to assist the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department on a breaking and entering complaint outside of the city.

May 16

  • An officer was dispatched to a civil dispute.  The officer made contact with the parties involved and advised them to resolve their differences in a civilized manner.
  • An officer was dispatched to a business reference a complaint of retail fraud.  The officer spoke to the complainant, and the suspect was arrested, transported to Osceola County Sheriff’s Department and lodged on charges.
  • An officer was dispatched to a two car property damage accident, there were no injuries.
  • An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a disturbance.  The officer spoke to the parties involved and advised them avoid contact with each other.

  • An officer was dispatched to a school reference a disturbance.
  • An officer was dispatched to a local business reference a complaint of retail fraud.  The case remains open pending further investigation.

  • An officer was dispatched to an area check of several subjects fighting.  The officer spoke with the parties involved and a subject was cited for a traffic offense.
  • An officer was dispatched to assist the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department on a call.
  • An officer was dispatched to assist the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department on a suicidal subject outside of the city.
  • An officer was dispatched to a two car property damage accident, there were no injuries.

May 19

  • An officer was dispatched to Riverside Park regarding a noise complaint.  The officer made contact with the suspect who had an outstanding warrant. The suspect was arrested, transported to Mecosta County Sheriff’s Department and lodged.
  • An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a complaint of domestic violence.  The officer spoke to the complainant, and the suspect was arrested, transported to Osceola County Sheriff’s Department and lodged on charges.

May 14

  • Officers were dispatched to the area of E Church St. near Roth St for a report of a reckless driver.  Officers located the vehicle and performed a traffic stop.  It was determined that the driver was operating on a suspended license and had no insurance on the vehicle.  The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
  • Officers handled a walk in complaint at the Department.  The complainant advised that he was doing laundry at the Laundromat and someone had stolen his comforter.  Upon reviewing security cameras the suspect was identified and the matter is under investigation.
  • Officers responded to a dog at large complaint in the area of S Higbee St.  The dog was captured and transported to the Osceola County Animal Shelter.
  • Officers were dispatched to an alarm at a business in the city.  Upon checking the building it was determined to be secure and the alarm was false.

May 15

  • Officers responded to a two vehicle property damage accident at the intersection of E Church St and S Chestnut St.  There were no injuries and only minor damage.  The accident was caused due to brake malfunction causing the at fault driver to rear end the other vehicle that was stopped at the traffic light.
  • Officers assisted the School Administration with K-9 searches of vehicles.  Three knifes were taken from vehicles and a small amount of suspected marijuana was located.
  • Officers investigated a harassment complaint at the School.  A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.
  • Officers responded to a suspicious situation complaint.  The complainant stated that while she was walking a subject pulled up to her asking her if she wanted a ride.  A description of the subject and vehicle was obtained and the matter is under investigation.
  • Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  It was discovered that the driver was operating on a suspended license and without vehicle insurance.  The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
  • Officers were called to the hospital for a disorderly subject.  Officers arrived on scene and were able to get the subject to calm down.  The report has been submitted to the City Attorney’s Office seeking an arrest warrant.

May 16

  • Officers were called to a business for a subject in the parking lot yelling and screaming.  Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the suspect who was yelling at someone on his phone.  The subject was given a warning for his actions.
  • Officers investigated two grass abatements at residences in the city.  Officers are in the process of locating the owners to serve them with the notices.

May 17

  • Officers responded to the Hospital for a minor private property damage accident that occurred in the parking lot.  A report was completed.
  • Officers were called to a residence for a dog at large that bit the neighbor’s dog.  The dog owner was cited for having an unlicensed dog.
  • Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department with a mental patient at the Hospital.
  • Officers were called to the hospital for a disorderly patient.  Officers arrived on scene and were able to get the subject calmed down.  No further enforcement action was needed.

May 18

  • Officers were called by the school for a lost child.  The child was located on Upton Street and was not lost.  The child was returned to the school.
  • Officers were called to the school for a disorderly student.  Officers were able to get the student under control and there were no further problems.
  • Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex for a report of subjects smoking marijuana.  The subjects had left before the officers arrived on scene.
  • Officers responded to a residence for a larceny of a bicycle complaint.  The complainant stated they left their bike next to a tree outside the residence and returned to find the bike was gone.  A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.
  • Officers were called to a residence for a found property complaint.  The complainant had found a motorcycle saddle bag on the side of the road.  The bag was taken for safe keeping until claimed by the owner.
  • Officers on patrol located an open door at a business in the city.  The building was searched and found to be secure.  The property owner was notified.

n Officers were called to a residence for a harassment complaint.  The complainant had people outside of her residence knocking on the door, refusing to leave.

n Officers arrived on scene and spoke with all parties.  The subjects were warned and left the area.

May 19

n Officers stopped two motorcycles on Patterson Rd.  The first driver was arrested for no insurance and having an improper license plate.  The second driver was arrested for no insurance and not having a cycle endorsement.  Both subjects were lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

n Officers were dispatched to a residence for a threats complaint.  Statements were taken and the matter is under investigation.

May 20

n Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department with transporting a subject to the hospital for a blood draw.

n Officers were called to the 300 block of Patterson Rd for a female subject trying to waive down passing cars.  Officers located the subject who was trying to find a ride to Baldwin after being released from the hospital.  Officers transported the subject to the Hospital lobby to wait for a ride.

n Officers assisted the Wexford County Sheriff’s Department in locating a subject in the city to deliver a message.
