Evart Police Report

March 5: An officer was dispatched to a Malicious Destruction of Property complaint. Photos were taken of the damaged tires. If anyone has any information concerning these damages, please contact the Evart Police Department.

An officer took a found property report (red metal wallet). The property will be kept at the Evart Police Department for 30 days or until claimed by the owner.

An officer was dispatched to a civil dispute. The officer made contact with the parties involved and advised them to resolve their differences in a civilized manner.

March 6: An officer was dispatched to a one car property damage accident, there were no injuries.

An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a noise complaint. The officer spoke with the suspect and advised them of the City’s ordinance.

An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a verbal domestic. It was determined the situation was not physical and the parties were advised to resolve their differences in a civilized manner.

March 7: An officer was dispatched to a business reference a disturbance. The officer spoke to the complainant. The suspect was arrested, transported to Osceola County Sheriff’s Department and lodged on charges.

March 8: An officer was dispatched to a business reference an alarm. The officer searched the business and the surrounding area. The residence was found to be secure and the alarm was due to a system malfunction.

An officer was dispatched to assist EMS on a medical call.

March 9: An officer was dispatched to a two car property damage accident, there were no injuries.

March 5: Officers investigated a complaint where a young boy took inappropriate photographs of himself on someone’s phone. The incident has been forwarded to Probate Court for review.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was operating on a suspended license and had two outstanding warrants for his arrest out of other jurisdictions. The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers responded to a residence for a civil dispute over a computer that was given to someone to be repaired. The property was recovered and returned to the owner and the matter is now closed.

Officers were called to a residence for a possible suicidal person. The subject was transported by EMS to the hospital to be evaluated.

Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex for a noise complaint that the caller stated sounded like people fighting. Officers arrived on the scene and most of the subjects had left. The occupants were given a warning.

March 6: Officers were called to a residence for a well being check on an elderly women who had not been seen in days. It was determined that the female was out of town visiting family.

Officers were dispatched to a residence for a possible domestic disturbance. Officers arrived on scene and determined that it was a verbal argument only and no assault had occurred. All parties were given a warning.

Officers were requested by Child Protective Services to investigate an alleged criminal sexual conduct complaint. A report was completed and the matter is under continued investigation.

March 7: Officers were called to the school for a missing juvenile complaint. It was determined that the child had walked home and everything was OK.

Officers were called to the Motel for a domestic. Upon arrival it was determined that it was a verbal argument only. All parties involved were given a warning.

March 8: Officers were called to a business for a complaint of students loitering. Upon arrival of the officers the subjects were gone.

Officers were called to a residence in the city for a domestic disturbance call. Through investigation and statements it was determined that the female subject had assaulted the male. The female was arrested for domestic violence and lodged at the Osceola County Jail.

Officers were called to the school for a disorderly student. Officers got the student under control and turned him over to his parents.

The male subject from the earlier domestic violence called came into the department to report that he lied to police and filed a false police report, that he was not assaulted by his wife and he had self inflicted the injuries. The male subject was arrested for filing a false police report and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers were requested at a business for a possible mental subject that was refusing to go home with family. Officers arrived on scene and transported the subject to the hospital to be evaluated.

March 9: Officers were called to the school for a disorderly student. Officers got the student under control and turned him over to his parents.

Officers were called to the school for an assault complaint where a student hit another student with a piece of wood. The matter is under investigation.

Officers assisted EMS at a residence for a male subject that was being combative. The subject was transported to the hospital for treatment without further incident.

Officers were called to a business in the city for a suspicious duffle bag that was left on the property. Officers checked the bag and determined that it contained clothes. The bag was taken to the department for storage until claimed by the owner.

Officers were called to the Hospital to assist the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department with a disorderly subject.

March 10: Officers were called for a report of a man laying in the road bleeding. Officers arrived on scene and found the subject to be highly intoxicated. The subject was transported to the hospital for treatment. It was determined that the subject had fallen and injured himself in his drunken state.

March 11: Officers gave warnings to two separate subjects for parking commercial vehicles in residential areas.

Officers were called to the motel to investigate a possible parental kidnapping complaint. Contact was made with the mother complainant as well as the father in Pennsylvania who had the children. Child Protective Services were also contacted who were aware of the situation. A report has been started and the matter is under investigation. The children are not in any sort of danger.
