June 11

  • An officer was dispatched to a business reference a trespassing complaint.  The suspect was arrested, transported to Osceola County Sheriff’s Department and lodged on charges.
  • While on patrol an officer identified an individual as having an outstanding warrant. The suspect was arrested, transported to Osceola County Sheriff’s Department and lodged on charges.

June 12

  • An officer was dispatched to assist the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department on a call outside the city.
  • An officer was dispatched to assist the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Department on a call outside the city.
  • An officer was dispatched to a one car property damage accident, there were no injuries.
  • An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a welfare check.  The individual was found to be secure.

June 13

  • An officer was dispatched to a business reference an open window.  The officer secured the building, and the owner was contacted.

June 14

  • An officer was dispatched to a local business reference a complaint of retail fraud.  The case remains open pending further investigation.
  • An officer was dispatched to a local business reference a complaint of larceny.  The case remains open pending further investigation.
  • While on patrol an officer observed an open door at the cemetery.  The officer closed the door, and contacted a key holder.

  • An officer was dispatched to assist EMS on a medical call.
  • An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a complaint of abuse. The case is open pending further investigation.
  • An officer was dispatched to a traffic complaint.  The officer made contact with the suspect and a citation was issued for reckless driving.
  • An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a Malicious Destruction of Property complaint.  The case is open pending further investigation.
  • An officer was dispatched to a business reference an open door.  The officer searched the building and the surrounding area.  The officer contacted a business key holder who came and secured the door.
  • An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a noise complaint. The officer made contact with the home owner and advised them of the City’s ordinance.

  • An officer was dispatched to a business reference an open window.  The officer contacted the key holder to the business.
  • An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a complaint of Domestic Violence.  The officer spoke to the complainant, and the suspect was arrested, transported to Osceola County Sheriff’s Department and lodged on charges.

June 17

  • An officer was dispatched to Riverside Park reference a runaway.  The juvenile was located and turned over to their parents. The case is closed.

June 11

  • Officers investigated a complaint where a teenager was given prescription drugs by another person.  The matter is under investigation.
  • Officers located a subject at Probate Court that had an outstanding warrant for harassing communications.  The subject was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
  • Officers seized a vicious dog from a residence and turned it over to Animal Control pending an investigation where the vicious dog had attacked another dog.
  • Officers were called to an apartment complex for a disorderly male complaint.  Officers arrived on scene and found the male in the parking lot yelling and swearing with a tire iron.  The subject was taken into custody and lodged at the Osceola County Jail on disorderly conduct.
  • Officers responded to an apartment complex for a call of a suicidal subject.  Officers arrived on scene and located the subject who agreed to be evaluated at the hospital.
  • Officers assisted the Michigan State Police on an open door complaint at an abandoned factory outside of the city.  The building was searched and found to be secure.  The officer returned to patrol duties within the city.

June 12

  • Officers responded to a business parking lot for a report of a private property damage accident involving one vehicle.  Officers arrived on scene to find minor damages and no injuries.  A report was completed.
  • Officers were called to the Motel for a report of a subject refusing to leave the property after being advised to.  Officers located the subject and served him with a formal No Trespass Notice for the property.
  • Officers served grass abatement notices on property owners that were failing to maintain their grass.  The owners have the allotted time to make the corrections or further enforcement action will be taken.

June 13

  • Officers located a juvenile that was riding his bike in the roadway on Chestnut St.  The juvenile failed to follow orders from the officer to remove the bike from the roadway and was cited.  The matter was turned over to the juveniles parents as well.
  • Officers were called to a residence for a report of a suicidal male subject.  Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the individual who was not suicidal.  The complaint was unfounded.
  • Officers received numerous calls of a bear running at large at various locations throughout the city.  Officers checked the area in an attempt to find the bear and were unable to locate it.  The matter has been turned over to the DNR.
  • Officers responded to a residence for a call of a suicidal female.  Officers arrived on scene and discovered that the female was not suicidal.  The complaint was unfounded.

June 14

  • Officers located a female at a residence that had an outstanding warrant who was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
  • Officers investigated a trespassing complaint at a residence in the city where a male subject was cutting across the property owner’s lawn.  Officers arrived on scene and were not able to locate the subject.
  • Officers on patrol located an open door at a business in the city.  The building was searched and found to be secure.  The property owner was notified.
  • Officers investigated a suspicious situation complaint.  Lights were on at a closed business.  The building was checked and found to be secure.

June 15

  • Officers responded to a residence for a larceny of gas complaint.  Gas was stolen from a boat that was parked outside of a residence.  A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.
  • Officers responded to a residence for a call of an elderly female that had fallen but was not injured and needed help getting up.  Officers arrived on scene and help the elderly women up.
  • Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  It was discovered that the driver was operating the vehicle with an improper license plate and without insurance.  The driver also had a felony warrant out of Allegan County for insufficient funds check.  The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
  • Officers served grass abatement notices on property owners that were failing to maintain their grass.  The owners have the allotted time to make the corrections or further enforcement action will be taken.
  • Officers responded to a residence for a peace officer standby so the complainant could retrieve her items from the residence.  No problems were encountered.
  • Officers assisted at the scene of a structure fire on E Todd Ave.

June 16

  • Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  It was discovered that one of the occupants of the vehicle had 5 outstanding warrants for his arrest.  The subject was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
  • Officers were called to a residence for a report of a larceny.  A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.
  • Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  It was discovered that one of the occupants had two outstanding warrants for his arrest; however the issuing agency would not pick the subject up.  The subject was advised and released on the warrants.
  • Officers responded to an alarm at a business in the city.  Officers arrived on scene and checked the business and found it to be secure.  The business owner was notified.
