08/06
  • An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a civil dispute. The officer spoke to all parties involved and advised them to avoid contact with each other.
  • An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a trespassing complaint. The officer spoke to the complainant, and the suspect was served with a no-trespassing order.
  • An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a complaint of Domestic Violence. The officer spoke to the complainant, and the suspect was arrested, transported to Osceola County Sheriff’s Department and lodged on charges.

  • An officer was dispatched to a one car property damage accident. There were no injuries.
  • An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a breaking and entering complaint. The officer spoke to the complainant, and the suspect was arrested, transported to Osceola County Sheriff’s Department and lodged on charges.
  08/10
  • An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a suspicious male subject outside the residence. The subject left the area prior to the arrival of the officer.
  • An officer was dispatched to a business reference a child abandonment complaint. The case is open pending further investigation.
  • An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a trespassing complaint. The officer spoke to the complainant, and the suspect was arrested, transported to Osceola County Sheriff’s Department and lodged on charges.

  • An officer was dispatched to assist Osceola County Animal control on a call.
  • An officer was dispatched to a traffic complaint. The subject left the area prior to the arrival of the officer.
 

Reed City Police Report — August 6 to 12

  • Officers responded to a residence for a fraud complaint. The complainant advised that she made a purchase on an internet website and the item sent to her was not as described in the listing. A report was completed.
  • Officers were dispatched to a residence for a peace officer stand by so the complainant could retrieve her items from the residence. No problems were encountered.
  • Officers on patrol located an open door at a business in the city. The building was searched and found to be secure. The property owner was notified.
  08/07
  • Officers responded to a residence for a foul smell coming from the garage of an abandoned residence. The smell was determined to be coming from a freezer that had rotten food inside. The property owner was notified to correct the problem.
  • Officers on patrol observed juveniles that had fled at the sight of the patrol car. The juveniles were located and questioned. There were no violations, the juveniles ran because they thought they were in violation of curfew.
  08/09
  • Officers were called to US 10 near N Chestnut St for a vehicle in the ditch. The vehicle had mechanical problems and went into the ditch. There were no injuries or damage. The vehicle was removed by a towing company.
  08/10
  • Officers responded to N Chestnut St near the Hersey Bridge for a semi truck broken down in the roadway. The vehicle was leaking fluids. The Fire Department was called to the scene and the vehicle was removed by a towing company.
  • Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was operating on a suspended license. The passenger in the vehicle had five outstanding warrants out of Osceola County. Both subjects were arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
  • Officers were called to the Motel for a possible child neglect complaint. The complaint was investigated and was determined to be unfounded.
  • Officers doing a tavern inspection located a subject that was on parole inside of the bar, in violation of his parole conditions. The subject was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
  • Officers responded to an apartment complex for a noise complaint and a complaint of minors drinking. Officers arrived on scene and no noise was heard. The subjects at the residence were checked and found to not be drinking. The complaint was unfounded.
  08/12
  • Officers were called for a possible private property damage accident that occurred to an unattended parked vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and determined that the vehicle was not stuck. The complaint was unfounded.
  • Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex for a complaint of teens engaged in lewd acts on the playground. The subjects and their parents were located. The matter is under investigation.
  • Officers were called to a residence for a barking dog complaint. The dog owner was located and given a verbal warning.
