Evart Police Report — AUG. 13 to AUG. 1908/13 An officer was dispatched to three residences reference Personal Protection Order violation complaints. The officer spoke to the complainants and the cases were turned over to the Osceola County Prosecutor for review. 08/14 An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a complaint of child abuse. The officer made contact with the parent and the minor children. The case has been turned over to the Department of Human Services for review. An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a trespassing complaint. The officer spoke to the complainant but was unable to locate the suspect. 08/15 An officer was dispatched to a two car property damage accident. There were no injuries.
Reed City Police Report — AUG. 13 to AUG. 19If you see any suspicious activity, call 911. For a non-emergency call 832-3255. Email tips to RCPD@reedcityhall.org 08/13 Officers were called to a barking dog complaint in the area of W Todd Ave. Officers arrived on scene and no dogs were heard barking. Officers responded to an apartment complex for a trespassing complaint. A subject that had been evicted from the property was there and refusing to leave. Officers served the subject with a No Trespass Notice and the subject left without any further problems. Officers were called to a trailer park for a civil child custody matter. Officers arrived on scene to find that there was no court order in place regarding custody. Both parties were advised that this was a civil matter and provided with a course of action. Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation, it was discovered that the driver was operating without a license. The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident. Officers located a female at her residence that had an outstanding warrant out of Wexford County for child support. The subject was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident. Officers responded to the High School for a larceny complaint. The complainant stated that she was at cheer practice, had set her backpack down and it was gone. Through investigation it was discovered that the back pack was found by school officials and placed in safe keeping. The back pack was returned to the owner. 08/14 Officers responded to a neighbor dispute. Both parties were talked to and warned. Officers on patrol located an open door at a business in the city. The building was searched and found to be secure. The property owner was notified. Officers were called to a residence for a suspicious situation. The complainant states that items on his porch had been moved around while he was gone. Officers are doing extra patrols in the area. Officers located subjects in Linear Park after hours. The subjects were given a warning and left the area. Officers on patrol located a juvenile walking and in violation of curfew. The juvenile stated he was walking home. A verbal warning was issued. 08/15 Officers responded to W Todd Ave for a property damage accident. A vehicle was backing out of the driveway and backed into another vehicle. There were no injuries and only minor damage. A report was completed. Officers received a call of a subject be held against his will in the area of Tomahawk Lane. It was later determined that called was a patient of the hospital and was confused. Officers on patrol observed a suspicious subject around a vehicle who then took off into a wooded area. Officers checked the area and were not able to locate the subject. There was nothing missing from the vehicle. Officers on patrol located an open door at a business in the city. The building was searched and found to be secure. The property owner was notified. 08/17 Officers assisted a stranded motorist that was having transmissions problems. A wrecker was called and the vehicle was removed from the roadway. Officers were called to a residence for a landlord-tenant issue. The landlord stated that there appeared to be a leak in the upstairs apartment that was leaking into the lower level and the upstairs tenant was refusing to cooperate. Assistance was given and the matter is closed. Officers were dispatched to a harassment complaint. The matter was already being investigated by the Michigan State Police and the complaint was turned over to them. Officers were called for a possible PPO violation. The complainant was receiving text messages and phone calls from a subject she has a PPO against. It was determined that the PPO had not been served yet. A report was completed. 08/18 Officers responded to a barking dog complaint. The dog owner was given a warning. Officers were called to a residence for a larceny of prescription medication. A suspect has been identified and the matter is under investigation. Officers responded to W Lincoln Ave and S Sears St for a call of children playing on the construction equipment. The grandparents of the children were located and verbal warnings were issued. Officers on patrol located a subject that had two outstanding warrants out of Holland Police Department. The subject was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident. Officers were called to a residence for a well being check. The caller reported two small children playing in the roadway. Officers made contact with the parents of the children. The children had figured out how to open the gate. The parents were advised of the danger of the small children playing in the roadway and a warning was issued. Officers on patrol were dispatched to a noise complaint. One of the subjects at the residence had three outstanding warrants for his arrest. The subject was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident. 08/19 Officers were called to a residence for a malicious destruction of property complaint. The complainant stated that her front window was broken. It appears that the window was shot with a bb gun. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation. Officers responded to a business for an alarm. The building was checked and found to be secure. The alarm was determined to be false. Officers were called to an apartment for a well being check on a child that had been crying for hours. It was determined that the child was misbehaving and was placed in his room and would not stop crying. The children and residence were checked and there were no problems.
