May 1

  • An officer was dispatched to a local business reference a breaking and entering complaint.  The case is open pending further investigation.

May 2

  • An officer was dispatched to a school reference a disturbance involving a minor.
  • An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a suspicious situation which was determined to be unfounded.
  • An officer was dispatched to assist the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department on a call.
  • An officer was dispatched to a local business reference a suspicious situation.  A door into the business was missing its door handle; it appeared as if someone had attempted to break into the building.  The case is open pending further investigation.

May 3

  • An officer was dispatched to assist the Evart Fire Department with traffic control while crews worked to repair a down power line.

  • An officer was dispatched to assist Child Protective Services on locating a subject.
  • An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a disturbance.  The officer made contact with the individuals and advised them of the City’s ordinance.

May 5

  • An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a suspicious situation.  A small child was found walking outside a residence.  The officer returned the minor to the residence and made contact with their parents.

May 6

  • An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a suspicious situation.  The officer searched the area and found it to be secure.
  • An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a complaint of Domestic Violence.  The officer spoke to the parties involved, and the case remains open pending further investigation.

April 30

  •  Officers were called to a business in the city for an unlawful dumping complaint.  The complainant stated that an unauthorized person has been putting trash in the dumpster.  A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.
  • Officers responded to a residence for a possible breaking and entering complaint.  The complainant advised that the neighbor’s garage door appeared to have been kicked in.  Officers arrived on scene and determined that no breaking and entering took place.
  • Officers responded to a residence for a peace officer stand by so the complainant could retrieve items from the residence.  There were no problems.
  • Officers were dispatched to a residence for a found bike complaint.  The bike was taken into safe keeping until claimed by the owner.
  • Officers responded to a trailer park in the city for a malicious destruction of property complaint.  The complainant reported that the suspect had broken into the water box.  The suspect was talked to and the complainant did not wish to pursue charges.
  • Officers assisted subjects on S. Roth Street with a broken down vehicle.

May 1

  • Officers responded to the intersection of S Chestnut St at Church St for a two vehicle property damage accident.  There were no injuries and only minor damage.  One of the drivers was operating without a license and had no insurance on the vehicle.  This driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
  • Officers assisted EMS at the High School where a student was having a seizure.
  • Officers were called to the intersection of Morse St at E Lincoln Ave for a possible domestic disturbance.  Officers arrived on scene to find it was a verbal argument only.  All parties were given a warning.
  • Officers were dispatched to a possible PPO violation at a city park.  Officers arrived on scene and investigated the matter and determined that there was no violation.
  • Officers were called to the school for an out of control student.  Officers were able to get the child under control who was turned over to his parents.
  • Officers responded to an apartment complex for a complaint of dogs being left in a vehicle unattended.  Officers arrived on scene and determined that the dogs were not in any harm.  The complaint was unfounded.

May 2

  • Officers handled a walk in civil complaint regarding custody and placement of a child.  The complainant was provided with a course of action.
  • Officers responded to the School for a harassment complaint.  The victim received a harassing letter from another student.  The parties involved were talked to and the matter was turned over to school officials.
  • Officers were dispatched to a residence for a peace officer stand by so the complainant could retrieve her property from the residence.  There were no problems.
  • Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  It was discovered that the driver was operating on an expired temporary instructional license.  The driver was given an appearance citation for not having a license and having amplified music.

May 3

  • Officers assisted with a funeral escort.

May 4

  • Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  It was discovered that the driver was operating without a valid license.  The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
  • Officers responded to a trailer park for a trespassing complaint.  The suspect had been asked multiple times to leave and failed to do so.  Upon arrival of the officers the subject had left.  A report was completed.

May 5

  • Officers were dispatched to a residence for a possible breaking and entering complaint that was being reported by the property owner who was not home at the time.  Officers arrived on scene and located the subjects who were identified.  The subjects stated that they were allowed to be there.  Officers attempted to call the complainant back and could not make contact.  There were no signs of entry to the residence.  The subjects were advised to leave the property and were released.
