April 23

  • An officer assisted the Grand Rapids Police Department with receiving stolen property

April 24

  • An officer took a found property report (plastic bag off personal letters). The property was returned to the owner.
  • An officer was dispatched to a school reference an assault involving minors.
  • An officer was dispatched to a harassment complaint. The officer advised both parties to avoid further contact with each other.

April 25

  • An officer was dispatched to a noise complaint. The suspect left the area before the officer arrived on scene.

April 26

  • An officer was dispatched to assist a business with a possible disorderly person.

April 27

  • An officer was dispatched to a business who was receiving threatening phone calls. The case is open pending further investigation.

April 28

  • Several residential breaking and entering and larceny complaints were reported throughout the community. All cases remain open pending follow up on leads.

April 29

  • An officer was dispatched to a local business reference a complaint of retail fraud. The case remains open pending further investigation.
  • An officer was dispatched to a custody dispute. The officer made contact with the complainant and advised them to resolve the dispute in court.

April 23

  • Officers were called to an apartment complex for a larceny of a bike complaint. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.
  • Officers were dispatched to a residence for a harassment complaint. The complainant was being harassed by another female over her boyfriend. All parties were talked to and given a warning.
  • Officers responded to a residence for a larceny of a ladder complaint. The complainant stated that someone stole their ladder. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.
  • Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver had an outstanding warrant for disorderly conduct. The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
  • Officers were called to a business for a malicious destruction of property complaint. The complainant advised that someone had slashed her tires on her car. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

April 24

  • Officers were called to a bank in town for a fraud complaint. The bank advised that Social Security funds were being removed out of a deceased persons account. The suspect was identified and the matter is under investigation.
  • Officers were dispatched to the High School for a malicious destruction of property complaint. The complainant advised that someone had broken his passenger side mirror. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.
  • Officers responded to a barking dog complaint in the area of W Upton Ave. The dogs and owner were located and given a warning.

April 25

  • Officers picked a subject up at the Mecosta County Jail on a contempt warrant for failure to appear. The subject was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
  • Officers handled a found property complaint. A women’s wallet was found in the area of W Fifth Ave. The owner has been identified and officers are in the process of locating her.
  • Officers responded to the High School for a disorderly student complaint. A special needs student was out of control and refusing to listen to school staff. Officers were able to get the subject to calm down and he was turned over to his family.
  • Officers investigated a larceny of checks complaint. The complainant stated that she had checks missing from her checkbook and believes it was her grandson that took them. The bank was alerted and the next day the grandson attempted to cash one of the stolen checks at the bank. The check was confiscated. A warrant request has been submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office.
  • Officers responded to a business in the city for a private property damage accident. There were no injuries and only minor damage. A report was completed.
  • Officers were called to a residence over a disturbance. A mentally handicapped subject was upset and being disorderly. Officers arrived on scene and were able to get the subject calmed down. The parties involved were warned.
  • Officers were dispatched to a residence for domestic disturbance. Upon arrival it was determined that it was a verbal argument only and no assault had taken place. The parties involved were given a warning.

April 26

  • Officers responded to a residence in town for a fraud complaint. The complainant’s credit card number had been obtained through the internet and the suspect in Italy was attempting to use the card. The transaction was denied and the card was cancelled. A report was completed and is under investigation.

April 27

  • Officers were called to assist the Michigan State Police on a traffic stop on Patterson Rd. The driver was in violation of a bond conditional release order and the passenger had an outstanding warrant for disorderly conduct out of our department. The passenger was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
  • Officers were called to an apartment complex for a larceny of a bike complaint. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.
  • Officers located a subject at his residence that had an outstanding warrant for larceny. The subject was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

April 28

  • Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department on a traffic stop at the intersection of 200th Ave and Meceola Rd. Once the scene was secure the officers returned to patrol duties within the city.

April 29

  • Officers were called to an apartment complex for a domestic assault complaint. The male suspect had left the scene in a vehicle and was located and stopped. After the investigation was complete the male suspect was arrested for domestic assault and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.
