Reed City – Police Report 11/19 to 11/25
Officers handled a walk in mental health complaint at the department. A subject appeared to file a complaint and was suffering from issues. Community Mental Health was contacted and responded to the department to talk with the subject.
Officers handled a walk in domestic violence complaint. The victim came into the department to report that he had been assaulted by his mother. A report was completed and submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office for review.
Officers assisted the Michigan State Police on a domestic violence call. Once the scene was secure the officer returned to patrol duties within the city.
Officers responded to a residence for a drug overdose complaint. EMS was called to the scene and the subject was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Officers were called to investigate a possible PPO violation. The complaint was unfounded.
Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office on an Operating While Intoxicated traffic stop within the city. The subject was arrested for OWI and began to resist officers. The subject was lodged on Operating While Intoxicated and additional charges of Resisting Officers are pending.
Officers were called to a residence for an open garage door and the complainant believed someone may be in her house. Officers arrived on scene and checked the residence and found nothing out of place.
Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was operating on an expired license. The driver was given an appearance citation at the scene and released.
Officers were called to the hospital to assist with a disorderly juvenile patient. Officers were able to get the subject under control and there were no further problems.
Officers investigated a Bond Conditional Release Violation. The subject was on bond and was not to have contact with the victim in the case and had shown up to the victim’s apartment and had called her numerous times. The subject was located and arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
Officers investigated an abandoned vehicle at a business in the city.
Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was determined that one of the passengers in the vehicle had numerous outstanding warrants for his arrest however they were out of pickup range. The subject was advised of the warrants and released.
Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle parked outside of a residence. It was determined that the owner of a vehicle was visiting one of the neighbors.
Officers were called to a business for larceny complaint. The complainant reported that he had a chainsaw outside his building and it was stolen while he was inside. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.
Officers responded to an apartment complex for a noise complaint. Upon arrival the complaint was unfounded.
Officers were called to a one vehicle roll over accident on US 10. There were no injuries. It was determined that the driver was intoxicated and lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
Officers investigated a possible PPO violation. The matter is under investigation.
Officers were called to a residence for a malicious destruction of property complaint. The complainant reported that his son was breaking the doors in the residence. Officers arrived on scene and the complainant decided he did not want to press charges.
Officers assisted a stranded motorist that had run out of gas.
Evart – Police Report 11/19-11/21
An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a noise complaint. The officer made contact with the individual and advised them to lower the volume on their stereo. The case is closed.
An officer assisted an individual with a found property report. The property was returned to the original owner and the case is closed.
An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a welfare check. The officer made contact and the individual was transported to Reed City for medical attention.
An officer assisted the Osceola County Sherriff’s Department with traffic control outside of the city following an accident on U.S. 10.
