12/02

● An officer was dispatched to a residence in reference to a suspicious situation.  The officer made contact with an individual, and transported the individual home.  The case is closed.

● An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a welfare check.  The officer made contact with the individual and advised family members how to best deal with the situation.  The case is closed.

12/03

● An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a civil dispute.  The officer made contact with the complainant who was found to have a warrant for their arrest.  The subject was arrested and turned over to the Missaukee County Sherriff’s Department.

● An officer was dispatched to the Evart Middle School reference a complaint of destruction of property.  The officer made contact with the complainant and the suspect.  The case has been turned over to the Osceola County Prosecutor.

● An officer was dispatched to an abandoned residence to assist the Evart Fire Department.  The property was secured without incident.  The case is closed.

● An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a welfare check.  The officer made contact with the subject who was then transported to Reed City Hospital for medical attention.

● An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a welfare check.  The officer made contact with the subject and requested assistance from EMS.  The individual was transported to Reed City Hospital for medical attention.

● An officer was notified by DHS of a criminal sexual conduct complaint.  The case is still open pending further investigation.

● An officer was dispatched to make contact with an individual about a criminal sexual conduct complaint.  The officer made contact with the individual and determined the complaint to be within the jurisdiction of the Reed City Police Department.  The officer reported the information to Child Protective Services.

● An officer was dispatched to assist the Michigan State Police with a domestic assault outside of the City Limits.

● An officer received information from a citizen reference identity theft.  It was determined the individual’s personal identifying information had not been compromised.  The case is closed.

● An officer was dispatched to Evart City Hall for a complaint of skateboarders on the deck.  The officer made contact with the suspects and advised them that skateboarding was prohibited on the decks and ramps at City Hall.  The case is closed.

● An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a harassment complaint.  The officer made contact with both parties and advised them to avoid contact with each other.  The case is closed.

● An officer was dispatched to a residence reference a complaint of a violation of a controlled substance.  The officer made contact with the suspect who was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail.

12/03

● Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  Upon the driver opening the glove box a marijuana pipe was observed.  The vehicle was searched and the contraband was seized.  A report was submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office seeking an arrest warrant.

12/04

● Officers investigated a harassment complaint at the school involving three students.  The students were talked to and given a warning about their behavior.

● Officers investigated a larceny complaint at the school.  A back pack was taken from a student’s locker.  The suspect was identified on surveillance cameras and the stolen property was located and returned to the victim.  A report was completed and submitted to Probate Court.

● Officers were called to a residence for a larceny complaint.  The complainant stated that she had money taken from her dresser drawer.  Possible suspects have been identified and the matter is under investigation.

● Officers responded to a business for a security alarm.  Upon arrival the building was found to be secure and the alarm was determined to be false.  The property manager was notified.

● Officers assisted the Evart Police Department at the hospital with restraining a mental health subject being transported.

● Officers were called to a gas station to investigate a gas drive off complaint.  The complainant stated that the suspect drove off without paying for his gas.  The suspect has been identified and the case is open pending locating the suspect.

● Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department with traffic control at the scene of a traffic crash on 220th Ave and US 10.

● Officers investigated a truancy complaint.  School Officials reported that a student stopped showing up for school on November 26th.  It was determined that the student had moved with his family.  The case is closed.

● Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  It was determined that the driver of the vehicle was transporting a deceased female in a U-Haul Trailer behind the pickup.  The proper paperwork was verified for the transported and the subject was released.

● Officers assisted School Officials with K9 vehicle searches at the High School.  One vehicle was found to have a hunting knife inside of it.  The knife was seized and the matter is being handled by School Officials.

● Officers investigated an illegal dumping of waste.  The suspect has been identified and the complaint is open pending contact with the suspect.

● Officers assisted a parole agent in verifying that a parolee was at his residence for curfew.  Officers arrived on scene and the subject was not there.  The parole agent was notified.

● Officers located a vehicle parked at a closed business.  It was determined that the occupant of the vehicle was too tired to drive and was taking a nap.

● Officers located a subject with an outstanding felony warrant for fraud.  The subject was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

● Officers investigated a Social Security fraud complaint.  Someone had been receiving and cashing the victim’s checks.  The matter is under investigation.

● Officers were called to the Elementary School for a call of kids looking in the window.  Officers arrived on scene and located the kids.  The building was secure and there was no damage.

● Officers responded to a residence for an assault complaint.  The complainant was pushed into a glass door causing it to break.  There were no injuries.  A report was submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office seeking an arrest warrant.

● Officers assisted the Michigan State Police on a traffic stop on Northland Dr near 2 Mile Rd.

● Officers issued a vehicle abatement notice at a residence for a dismantled vehicle.  The owner has the allotted time to correct the violation or further enforcement action will be taken.

● Officers handled a single vehicle roll over traffic crash on Northland Dr near 1 Mile Rd.  There were no injuries.  Slick icy roads were the cause of the accident.  A report was completed.
