Well-being Check — Officers conducting a well-being check. The subject was found to be OK.

Harassment — Officers handled a harassment complaint.


Parole Warrant — Officers arrested a female on a parole violation. She was transported to Osceola County Sheriff’s Department.


Civil Dispute — Officers handled a civil dispute at Springview apartments. The case remains open at this time.


Malicious Destruction of Property — The southwest door of the Depot was found damaged. The case remains open at this time.

Larceny — Officers handled a larceny at a local business. The investigation is still open.

Reed City


Officers received a complaint regarding a possible domestic violence situation that took place over the weekend. The matter is under investigation and Child Protective Services have been advised.

Officers assisted the Michigan State Police with an alarm activation at a local business. All was secure, false alarm.


Officers were dispatched to the scene of a car/dog property damage accident. The dog was the only injury reported.

Officers were dispatched to local apartment complex after 1 a.m. regarding loud music. Officers issued a citation for loud and amplified music under the city ordinance for Nuisances 652.04 (o) and explained the city ordinance for loud music was that they couldn't have it too loud between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.

While on patrol, officers found the back door to a local business unlocked. Officers searched the property and found nothing amiss. The key holder arrived and locked the door.


Officers were notified of a 24-year-old male that was in violation of his parole. Using the GPS from his tether, officers were able to locate him and place him under arrest. He was transported and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers responded to a car/deer property damage accident. No injuries were reported.

Officers issued verbal warnings after responding to a neighborhood noise complaint. While there, officers found a 37-year-old male with outstanding warrants. He was arrested, transported and lodged in the Osceola County jail without incident.


Officers were dispatched to assist the Osceola County Sheriff's Department and be on the lookout for a vehicle heading into the Reed City area involving a complaint of threats. The vehicle was located and stopped. The matter was turned over to the OCSD while officers remained on scene for officer safety.

Officers issued an appearance citation to a 17-year-old male for minor in possession of alcohol.


Officers were dispatched to assist the Michigan State Police Department with a suspicious complaint regarding an out of control individual the home owner wanted out of the house. Officers explained it was a civil issue and the appropriate action.

While on patrol, officers assisted the driver of a stalled vehicle. Officers assisted with pushing the vehicle off the road until it could be towed.


While on patrol, officers observed vehicle traveling eastbound on U.S. 10 near Mackinaw Trail known to be using an improper registration plate. A stop was made on the vehicle and the follow up investigation led to the arrest of a 26-year-old male for driving while license suspended, no vehicle insurance and the improper use of a registration plate.

The male also had two outstanding warrants from a neighboring county. He was transported and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.


Officers were dispatched to assist the Osceola County Sheriff's Department on a residential panic alarm. Officers found that the homeowner had been attempting to reset the time due to daylight savings time change.
