Officers were dispatched to local residence regarding a 78-year-old man found deceased in his home. No foul play is suspected and he is believed to have died of natural causes. Case closed.

Officers arrested a 42-year-old male who was found to have a warrant for child support. He was transported and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers were called to perform a welfare check on a crying baby at a local apartment complex. Officers found there were no signs of ill treatment. Case closed.

Officers served No Trespass papers on an individual lodged at the Osceola County Jail. The 23-year-old male signed and stated he understood that he was not to be back on the property.

Officers received a report of a suspicious situation regarding an email claiming money was owed. Officers confirmed it is a well known scam. Case closed.

Officer presence was requested in a civil matter. Officers issued advice on the correct course of action to take to resolve the matter.

Officers were called to local apartment regarding a beeping alarm. Officers found the battery was low and assisted with replacing it for the 89-year-old tenant.

While on patrol, officers observed a vacant home in violation of the city ordinance No. 1060.02 for trash and refuse in addition to the city ordinance No. 652.06 (b)(e) for dangerous buildings and other structures. The appropriate abatement paperwork was processed and sent to the owner.

Officers were dispatched to local apartment complex regarding a parking violation in the parking lot. Officers located the owner of the vehicle in question, who stated he was about to replace the battery he just purchased. Case closed.

While on patrol, officers observed a vehicle in the driveway of local residence in violation of city ordinance No. 1284.13 regarding the storage of inoperable or unregistered vehicles. Contact with the owner and advised of the violation. An abatement notice was completed and served to the owner at that time.

Officers were dispatched to local business regarding an activated burglar alarm. Officers found the store to be secure with nothing appearing out of the norm.

Officers were dispatched to local residence regarding threats and a possible violation of carrying a concealed handgun in violation of the law. The handgun was confiscated pending review by the Osceola County Prosecuting Attorney.

While on patrol, officers observed a vehicle in the driveway of local residence in violation of city ordinance No. 1284.13 regarding the storage of inoperable or unregistered vehicles. An abatement notice has been prepared and will be served to the owner.

Officers were dispatched to local residence regarding a deceased 56-year-old male. No foul play is suspected and he is believed to have died of natural causes.

Officers were requested to perform a well-being check on a local residence. The caller was concerned the 47-year-old male in question may be suicidal. Officers located and spoke to the male. No one else was in the residence and the situation was resolved.

Officers were request to perform a well-being check on an 86-year-old male. Officers arrived finding him the victim of a prank phone call, leaving him upset. Officers were able to calm him down and stayed with him until family could arrive.

Officers were called to a local church regarding a missing wallet. The matter is under investigation.
