Osceola County Sheriff
Deputies were dispatched to a Burdell Township home on the report of a possible domestic assault complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured, and through investigation, it was discovered that a minor assault did occur between two subjects involved in a domestic relationship, however neither party wished to prosecute. At that time both parties were separated and the incident report was forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review.
Deputies were dispatched to Richmond Township on the report of a single vehicle crash with injuries. Through investigation it was discovered that the operator of the vehicle was intoxicated, drove off the roadway and struck a tree. The operator was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of their injuries, was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail after their release.
Deputies investigated seven vehicle crashes. Incidents occurred within Highland, Hersey, Richmond and Rose Lake townships.
A deputy was dispatched to a Leroy Township business on the report of a two-vehicle accident, where the operator of one of the vehicles had fled the scene. Through investigation the absent operator was located hiding under the porch of a nearby residence, and was arrested for driving with a suspended license, leaving the scene of an accident and for also having a felony warrant issued for their arrest. The subject was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.
Deputies investigated six vehicle crashes, which occurred within Richmond, Lincoln, Burdell, Evart, Osceola and Cedar townships.
A sergeant responded to an Osceola County Court Office and arrested a subject on the strength of a valid Osceola County warrant. The subject was then transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.
Deputies were dispatched to a Lincoln Township home on the report of a possible 9-1-1 hang-up complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured, and through investigation it was discovered that young children were calling the dispatch center and then hanging up. The deputies spoke with the parents and then educated the children on when it is appropriate to call the emergency line.
Deputies were dispatched to a Richmond Township business on the report of a patron who was harassing other customers and was refusing to leave the store property. Upon arrival the subject was located and identified. The subject was apologetic for their actions and left the business without incident.
Deputies were dispatched to a Hersey Township home on the report of a disorderly person complaint where a subject was intoxicated and was refusing to leave the complainants home. Upon arrival the scene was secured and it was discovered that the subject in question fled the scene once it was discovered the authorities were responding.

Deputies investigated three vehicle crashes and one vehicle crash with injuries. Incidents occurred within Marion, Hartwick, Orient and Sherman townships.
A deputy was dispatched to a Lincoln Township home on the report of a possible breaking and entering to a pole barn complaint. Upon arrival it was discovered that known subjects had entered a pole barn and possibly took property that belonged to the complainant. The deputy spoke with the suspects in this case and it will forward this report to the prosecutor’s office for review.
