A deputy was dispatched to a Middle Branch home on the report of a civil complaint. Upon arrival it was discovered that the complainant was being forced to leave his residence by his roommates. The deputy mediated the situation and cleared the scene once his assistance was no longer needed.

12-01

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Lincoln Township for driving left of the centerline. Through investigation it was discovered that the operator was a juvenile, was operating without a driver’s license, was operating the vehicle without insurance and was in violation of the conditions of their probation. The juvenile was then transported to a detention facility after attempts to contact family members were unsuccessful. This matter has been turned over to Probate Court for review.

Deputies investigated two vehicle crashes, which occurred within Orient and Richmond townships.

A deputy was dispatched to the village of LeRoy on the report of a possible trespassing complaint. Upon arrival it was discovered that this incident was an ongoing dispute over a property line. The deputy mediated said situation and cleared the scene once his assistance was no longer needed.

Deputies were dispatched to a Hartwick Township home on the report of an active residential alarm complaint. Upon arrival the residence was checked and was found to be secure.

Deputies were dispatched to a Hersey Township home on the report of a suicidal subject complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured, and through investigation it was discovered that the subject in question was a danger to themselves and others. At that time said subject was taken to Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital for a mental evaluation.

A deputy was dispatched to a Hersey Township home on the report of a fraud complaint. Upon arrival it was discovered that someone had used the complaints personal information to obtain some credit cards. This case is open pending further investigation.

A deputy was dispatched to a Sherman Township home on the report of an active residential alarm complaint. Upon arrival the scene was checked and was found to be secure.

Deputies investigated two vehicle crashes, which occurred within Hersey and Richmond townships.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Middle Branch Township for a speeding infraction. Through investigation it was discovered that the driver had a valid Wexford County warrant, which was issued for their arrest. The subject was taken into custody and was turned over to Wexford County deputies without incident.

Deputies investigated two vehicle crashes, which occurred within Sylvan and Middle Branch townships.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Rose Lake Township for driving right of the fog line. Through investigation it was discovered that the driver and lone occupant, was operating the vehicle while intoxicated, was in possession of a firearm while intoxicated and possessed open intoxicants. The subject was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies investigated one vehicle crash which occurred within Middle Branch Township.

Officers handled an obscenity complaint. The complainant reported that a partially nude photo of a juvenile got texted to another juvenile. The matter is under further investigation.

Officers were called to the school for a third grader who had assaulted his teacher. Officers arrived on scene and were able to calm the child down. The child was petitioned into Juvenile Court.

Officers responded to the school for a larceny complaint. It was reported that a student had stolen an item from a classroom. The item was recovered and the student was petitioned into Juvenile Court.

Officers served a Personal Protection Order on a subject at a residence in the city.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the passenger had two outstanding warrants for her arrest out of Osceola County and Battle Creek. The subject was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers assisted with a school K9 dog search. Drug paraphernalia and a set of brass knuckles was recovered from a student's vehicle in the parking lot. The student has been petitioned into Juvenile Court.

Officers were called to a business for a suspicious situation. The complainant reported a customer had purchased an unusual amount of propane tank refills. The matter is under further investigation.

Officers received information about a possible criminal sexual conduct that may have occurred in the city six years ago. The matter is under further investigation.

Officers responded to a residence for a 9-1-1 hangup call. Officers checked the residence and found everything to be fine.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic stop. It was discovered that the driver was operating the vehicle without insurance. The driver was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers assisted a stranded motorist on West Lincoln Avenue. A tow truck was called to the scene.

Officers responded to the school for a report of a student being injured by a thrown snowball. The matter is being handled by school officials.

Officers were called to a residence on East Church Street for a suspicious vehicle in the driveway. Upon arrival the vehicle had left.

Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance. Upon arrival a set of brass knuckles and drugs were observed in the living room. The items were seized and the matter has been turned over to the Prosecutor's Office seeking a warrant.

Officers were called to a church for a report of underage kids smoking outside the church. Officers checked the area and the kids were not located.
