Deputies were dispatched to the City of Evart on the report of a possible attempted suicide complaint. Upon arrival the subject was located, and through investigation, it was discovered that said subject was a danger to themselves and to others. At that time the subject was transported to Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital for a mental evaluation.

Deputies investigated two vehicle crashes, which occurred within Highland Township.

Deputies were dispatched to an Orient Township home on the report of a domestic assault complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured, and through investigation, it was determined that an assault did occur between two subjects involved in a domestic relationship. At that time the aggressor was arrested for the assault and for outstanding warrants, and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

A deputy was dispatched to a Reed City home on the report of a possible prowler complaint. Upon arrival the deputy secured the scene, and conducted a thorough search of the exterior of the residence, which yielded nothing of interest. After the deputy completed his investigation he made contact with the complainant, and cleared the scene once his assistance was no longer needed.

Deputies were dispatched to a Reed City home on the report of a possible attempted suicide complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured, and through investigation, it was discovered that the subject in question was a danger to themselves and to others. At that time the subject was transported to Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital for a mental evaluation.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit assisted the Ferris State Department of Public Safety with a K-9 sniff of some vehicles. The assist was completed without incident, and the K-9 unit returned to the county upon completion.

Deputies investigated two vehicle crashes which occurred within Burdell and Richmond townships.

Deputies were dispatched to a business within the City of Evart for an assault complaint. Investigation revealed that the victim was sitting inside his vehicle, within the parking lot, when an unknown subject came up to the vehicle and began yelling and screaming at the occupants, along with breaking an alcohol bottle on the vehicle. The confrontation continued until the victim defended himself and his family. At the conclusion of this investigation the suspect was arrested for violating the conditions of their probation, drunk and disorderly person and assault and battery. The suspect was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies investigated three vehicle crashes which occurred within Hersey and Evart townships.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Richmond Township for an equipment violation. Through investigation it was discovered that the operator was driving the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. The subject was issued a misdemeanor citation for this offence and the vehicle was turned over to a licensed driver.

Deputies were dispatched to an Evart Township business on the report of an active entry alarm. Upon arrival the scene was secured, and through investigation, it was determined that the alarm was activated by a delivery person. The deputies then cleared the scene once their assistance was no longer needed.

A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Evart Township for operating with an expired registration plate. Further investigation revealed that the operator of the vehicle was operating their vehicle without insurance as well. The operator was issued two misdemeanor citations for this offence and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

Deputies investigated three vehicle crashes and one vehicle crash with injuries. Incidents occurred within Leroy, Rose Lake, Richmond and Sylvan townships.

Reed City

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the passenger had outstanding warrants for his arrest out of the Wyoming Police Department. The subject was arrested and turned over to Wyoming Officers without incident.

Officers were called to a residence for a noise complaint. Officers made contact with the subject that was playing loud music and a warning was issued.

Officers responded to the elementary school for a disorderly student. Officers were able to calm the student down and the matter is being handled by school officials.

Officers handled a criminal sexual conduct complaint involving two juveniles. The victim's mother reported that her daughter was inappropriately touched by a juvenile boy. The matter is under further investigation.

Officers located a subject at her residence that had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear. The subject was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers handled a truancy complaint. The child's mother reported that her son was refusing to go to school. Officers made contact with the child who decided to go to school without further incident.

Officers responded to a residence for a missing juvenile complaint. The complainant advised her 17-year-old daughter did not come home and was missing. The subject was found to be at school the next day and advised she had stayed with a friend overnight. The mother of the child was advised and the matter was closed.

Officers were called to an apartment complex for a noise complaint. Upon arrival no noise was heard and the matter was unfounded.

Officers assisted a stranded motorist on U.S. 10.

Officers were requested to standby at the courthouse for a probation violation hearing. There were no issues.

Officers investigated an altercation that occurred between two students. The matter is being handled by the school.

Officers were called to an adult foster care home due to a resident walking away. The subject was found sitting inside someone's vehicle and was transported to Community Mental Health for an evaluation.

Officers assisted the Michigan State Police on a traffic stop on South Chestnut Street.

Officers transported a subject on a court order from the Reed City Hospital to an adult foster care home located in Morley.

Officers were called to the high school for a report of a student being in possession of prescription pills and suspected marijuana. The items were seized and the parents were contacted. The matter has been turned over to Probate Court.

Officers responded to an apartment complex for a report of a subject trespassing on the property. The subject had not been served with a no trespass notice. The apartment management was contacted and advised of the situation.

Officers were called to a residence for a juvenile probation violation. The juvenile was in possession of a cell phone which was a violation of his probation conditions. The matter has been turned over to his probation officer.

Officers responded to a residence for a peace officer standby so the complainant could retrieve his belongings. The other party was not home at the time.

Officers were called to a residence for a breaking and entering complaint. The complainant reported a missing laptop. The matter is under further investigation.
