Deputies located a vehicle parked within the travel portion of an Orient Township road. As the deputies attempted to make contact with the operator, the vehicle sped off and a short pursuit ensued. A short time later the vehicle pulled off the roadway, and the driver and lone occupant was taken into custody. Further investigation revealed that said operator was driving their vehicle while intoxicated. The operator was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies investigated two vehicle crashes, and one crash involving injuries. Incidents occurred within Rose Lake, Highland and Burdell townships.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Hersey Township for a speeding infraction. Through investigation it was discovered that the operator was driving the vehicle while intoxicated (high blood alcohol content), was driving on a suspended driver’s license and was transporting open intoxicants. The driver was then arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence within the village of Marion on the report of an attempted suicide complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured and through investigation, the deputies determined that the subject was a danger to themselves and others. The subject was then taken into protective custody and was transported to Cadillac Mercy for treatment and a mental evaluation.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Evart Township for an equipment violation. Through investigation it was discovered that the operator was driving their vehicle without insurance, and was in possession of an open intoxicant. The operator was issued two misdemeanor citations for this incident and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

Deputies were dispatched to a Leroy Township residence on the report of an audible alarm complaint. Upon arrival the residence was checked and everything was found to be secured.

Deputies investigated five vehicle crashes which occurred within Richmond, Sylvan and Highland townships.

Deputies investigated four vehicle crashes which occurred within Hartwick, Hersey, Richmond and Middle Branch townships.

A sergeant investigated a harassment complaint which occurred within Osceola Township. The sergeant spoke with both parties and documented the unwanted contact.

A sergeant conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Richmond Township for failing to stop at a signed intersection. Through investigation it was discovered that the operator was driving the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license (second offence). The driver was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies were dispatched to Highland Township on the report of a suspicious vehicle complaint. Upon arrival the area was patrolled and a Consumers Power Company vehicle was located, which was conducting maintenance on the power lines.

Deputies were dispatched to Middle Branch Township on the report of a possible breaking and entering to a seasonal cabin complaint. Upon arrival the deputies discovered when the property owners arrived this evening they located a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway at their cabin. Deputies then made contact with the occupants inside the cabin, and discovered that the owner’s relative’s came up for the weekend. The deputies then cleared the scene once their assistance was no longer needed.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Sherman Township for equipment and speeding violations. Through investigation it was discovered that the operator was driving their vehicle while intoxicated and was in possession of suspected marijuana. The driver was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers assisted the Michigan State Police on a traffic stop on U.S. 10.

Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff's Department on a suspicious situation call at a business outside the city.

Officers responded to a business in the city. A delivery truck was there and the store was locked when it should have been open. Officers made contact with the employees and determined that it was a scheduling error.

Officers were called to an adult foster care home to talk with a resident who kept walking away from the home. Officers made contact with the subject and provided a course of action.

Officers located a subject at a residence that had an outstanding warrant for probation violation. The subject was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers were called to a day care facility for a harassment complaint. The complainant reported that students walking home from the middle school were making inappropriate comments to kids playing outside at the day care. A report was completed and the matter is under further investigation.

Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff's Office with a disorderly subject at a business just outside the city.

Officers located two subjects doing door to door sales without the required permit. The subjects were given a warning and advised to cease sales or they would be arrested.

Officers assisted the hospital with a disorderly patient. Officers were able to calm the subject down and he was escorted off the property.

Officers were called to the school for an assault complaint between two students that had occurred the day before. A report was completed and the matter is under further investigation.

Officers responded to an apartment complex for a report of a subject smoking marijuana outside of an apartment. Officers made contact with the subject who had a medical marijuana card. The subject was given a warning for smoking in a public place.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was determined that the driver was operating without her license in her possession. The driver was given an appearance citation at the scene and released with a court date.

Officers were called for a suspicious situation. The caller reported a safe in someones yard. Officers made contact with the homeowner who had set the safe out to the road to be picked up by the trash company and it was not picked up. Everything was determined to be OK.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that both passengers had outstanding warrants for their arrest. The male passenger was lodged at the Osceola County Jail on his warrant for child support and the female passenger was turned over to Mecosta County Officials on her warrant for contempt without incident.

Officers handled an assault complaint the occurred between two students walking home from school a couple days prior. A report was completed and the matter is under further investigation.

Officers were called to the motel for a domestic disturbance. The male suspect had fled the scene. Officers interviewed that victim and witnesses and searched the area for the suspect. A couple hours later the suspect had returned to the motel and was arrested for domestic assault and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident. It was also discovered that the suspect was intoxicated and in violation of his probation conditions.

Officers on patrol stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver had an outstanding warrant out of Cadillac MSP. The driver was arrested and turned over to troopers without incident.

Officers were called to a residence for a civil complaint between boyfriend and girlfriend over money. The complainant reported that her boyfriend is her payee for the state and she wanted her money. The parties were advised that it was a civil matter and provided with a course of action.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the drive was operating the vehicle without a valid license and was transporting open containers of alcohol. The driver was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident. A passenger in the vehicle was also issued an appearance citation for having an open container of alcohol and was released with a court date.

Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff's Office with a car/deer accident that occurred just outside the city on North Patterson Road.
