Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Burdell Township for driving left of the center line. Through investigation it was discovered that the driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was operating their vehicle while intoxicated, was in possession of an open intoxicant and was in possession of suspected marijuana. The driver was then arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies checked on a vehicle which was parked on the shoulder of a Lincoln Township roadway. Through investigation it was discovered that said vehicle was running, with the driver sleeping behind the steering wheel. Further investigation revealed that said driver was operating the vehicle while intoxicated, was in possession of an open intoxicant and was in possession of suspected marijuana. The subject was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

A sergeant conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Evart Township for defective display tail lights. Through investigation it was discovered that the driver was driving the vehicle while intoxicated. The driver was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies investigated two vehicle crashes which occurred within Leroy and Highland townships.

Deputies were dispatched to a Rose Lake Township residence on the report of a possible attempted suicide complaint. Upon arrival it was discovered that said subject had barricaded themselves within a room of the residence and had just ingested several prescription pills. After a brief period of negotiations, the deputies were able to enter the room; however when restraints were placed on the subject, as it was determined that the subject was a danger to themselves, a small altercation ensued. Eventually the subject was safely restrained, and was transported to Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital for treatment and a mental evaluation.

Deputies investigated two vehicle crashes which occurred within Richmond and Highland townships.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Highland Township, for an defective headlight. Through investigation it was discovered that a passenger within the vehicle had a valid Osceola County warrant issued for their arrest. Further investigation revealed that said subject was also in possession of suspected marijuana. At that time the subject was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies were dispatched to an Evart Township residence on the report of a domestic assault complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured, and through investigation it was discovered that an assault did occur between two subjects involved in a domestic relationship; however the aggressor suffered from the Alzheimer’s disease. At that time the aggressor was transported to Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital for a mental evaluation and arrangements were made for the victim. This report was forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review.

A deputy responded to an Osceola County office and arrested a subject for violating the conditions of their probation. The subject was secured and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Evart Township for a defective headlight. Through investigation it was discovered that the driver was operating the vehicle without insurance. At that time the driver was issued a misdemeanor citation for said offence and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

Deputies were dispatched to an Evart City home on the report of a domestic assault complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured, and through investigation it was discovered that an assault did occur between two subjects involved in a domestic relationship. At that time the aggressor was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies investigated three vehicle crashes which occurred within Evart, Marion and Lincoln townships

A sergeant was dispatched to a Hersey Township residence, on the report of a 9-1-1 hang-up complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured, and through investigation it was discovered that the home owner was having problems with their phone line. The sergeant cleared that scene once his assistance was no longer needed.

Officers handled a walk-in civil matter regarding child custody. Officers provided the subject with a course of action.

Officers responded to a business for a fire alarm with the fire department. The alarm was determined to be false.

Officers were called to a residence for a death investigation. Nothing unusual was noted and the matter has been closed.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was operating the vehicle without insurance and was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers transported a mental subject to Midland Hospital on a court order for hospitalization. The transport was completed without incident.

Officers located a subject at his residence that had an outstanding warrant out of Montcalm County. The subject was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officer handled a walk-in larceny complaint. The complainant stated she was in the process of moving out of her apartment and items were missing. The incident is under further investigation.

Officers were called to the elementary school for a report of a student out of control assaulting school staff. Officers arrived on scene and were able to calm the student down. The student was turned over to his parents and the matter was turned over to Probate Court for further action.

Officers responded to a business for a threats complaint. The matter is under further investigation.

Officers were called to a residence on East Lincoln Avenue for a larceny from vehicle complaint. The complainant reported that items were stolen from their vehicle during the night. A report was completed and the matter is under further investigation.

Officers investigated a suspicious person sitting outside of the school. It was determined that he was waiting for his girlfriend who was volunteering inside.

Officers were requested to do a well-being check on a subject. Officers checked the residence and were not able to make contact.

Officers handled a walk in found property complaint. The subject had found a wallet on Rails to Trails. Through further investigation it was determined that the wallet was stolen from a vehicle. A report was completed and the matter is under further investigation.

Officers were called to a residence for a malicious destruction of property complaint. The complainant reported her yard fountain was vandalized. A report was completed and the matter is under further investigation.

Officers on patrol located a subject that had two outstanding warrants for his arrest out of the Osceola County Sheriff's Department. The subject was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers on patrol located a suspicious person walking. Officers made contact with the subject who was found to be in possession of marijuana. The subject was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers doing property checks located an open door at a business in the city. The building was searched and found to be secure. The property owner was notified.

Officers were called for a missing person from an adult foster care home. Officers located the subject and he was returned to the home.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the subject had two outstanding warrants out the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office and the Lake County Sheriff's Office. The subject was arrested and turned over to Mecosta County Deputies.

Officers responded to a car/deer traffic crash in U.S. 10. A report was completed.

Officers assisted EMS at Rambadt Park for a man in seizures.

Officers located an older man on U.S. 10 who was hitchhiking. It was determined that the subject had wandered off from an adult foster care home. The subject was transported back to the home.
