Officers were dispatched to a vacant residence for a breaking and entering complaint.Two juvenile children broke into the residence and stole a couple of items. The juveniles have been identified and the matter has been forwarded to Probate Court.
Officers responded to a business to inspect suspected counterfeit bills. The bills were found to be real.
Officers were called to an apartment complex for a possible PPO violation. The complainant reported that she was receiving messages through social media from a subject she had a PPO against. A report was completed and forwarded to Circuit Court for review.
Officers located a subject in Rambadt Park after hours. The subject was given a warning and advised to leave the park.
Officers were requested by a doctor to attempt to locate one of his patients and check their well being. Officers checked the residence and were not able to locate the subject.
Officers located a subject at the courthouse that had two outstanding warrants for probation violation out of the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Department. The subject was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.
Officers responded to a business for an alarm. Upon arrival the building was determined to be secure and the alarm was unfounded.
Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was determined that the driver was operating the vehicle without insurance and was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident. A passenger in the vehicle had an outstanding warrant out of Charlevoix for neglected child. The passenger was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
Officers participated in the Emergency Management mock disaster exercise.
Officers were called to West Todd Avenue for a neighbor dispute. Officers talked to all parties involved and warnings were issued.
Officers were called to the GT Norman Elementary School playground for a juvenile complaint. It was reported that four older children were harassing younger kids. Officers talked to all parties involved and warnings were issued. The parents were notified.
Officers responded to the motel for a possible overdose. It was determined that the subject had ingested numerous pills and EMS was called to the scene. The subject was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Officers located a juvenile sitting at a picnic table at a business. The juvenile was in violation of curfew and was returned home with a warning. The juvenile’s mother was notified.
Officers were called for a larceny of a bike complaint. The subject who was missing his bike had located it. It was determined that the stolen bike was sold to another subject. The bike was returned to its rightful owner. A report was completed.
Officers served a subject with a no trespass order for a business and the subject was escorted off the property. The subject later returned and was arrested for trespassing and was lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.
Officers were requested to do a well-being check on a subject. The complainant reported that he could not get a hold of his girlfriend. Officers located the subject who was fine and her phone was not working due to cell phone towers being down.
Officers on patrol located three juvenile subjects walking in violation of curfew. The subjects were given a warning and returned home. The parents were notified.
Officers were called to West Lincoln Avenue for a mental subject who was paranoid and out of control. Officers made contact with the subject and took him into protective custody and transported him to the hospital for an evaluation. It was later determined that the subject needed to be committed to a mental facility on a court order, officers transported the subject to a mental facility in Grand Rapids for treatment.
Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle in Westerburg Park.
Officers made a traffic stop on two separate vehicles at the same time. It was determined that the driver of one of the vehicles was operating without insurance and was arrested. The driver of the second vehicle was arrested for driving without a driver’s license. Both subjects were lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.
Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department on a personal injury accident at 11 Mile Road near 80th Avenue. Once the scene was secure the officers resumed normal patrol duties within the city.
Officers responded to a business for a possible breaking and entering in progress. The complainant reported seeing lights on at a closed business and heard banging. The business was checked and found to be secure. The complaint was unfounded.
Officers were called to a business for an alarm. Upon arrival the building was found to be secure and the alarm was unfounded.
Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department on a traffic stop on U.S. 10 near East Church Street.
Officers responded to a business to speak with a subject. It was determined that the subject was suffering from mental issues and was transported to the hospital to be evaluated.
Officers investigated an abandoned vehicle on Davenport Street.
Officers performed a motorist assist on U.S. 10 at North Roth Street.
Officers were requested to a residence for a well being check on a subject. Officers knocked on the door and got no answer. Officers made entry into the residence and found the subject deceased in the bathroom. The Osceola County Medical Examiner was called to the scene and the death appears to be natural and as a part of medical complications.
Officers were called to a residence for a noise complaint. The subjects were given a warning.
