07/21

Officers were called to West Todd Avenue for a report of door-to-door sellers. Officers made contact with the sellers who were peddling without a permit. The subjects were advised to cease sales within the city until a peddler permit was obtained or they would be arrested.

Officers responded to West Slosson Avenue for a domestic disturbance call. Upon arrival one of the parties had departed. Statements were obtained and the matter has been turned over to the Prosecutor’s Office for review.

Officers served a grass abatement to a property owner in the city. The owner has the allotted time to correct the violation or further enforcement action will be taken.

Officers responded to a residence for a harassment complaint between two juveniles. A report was completed and the matter is open pending further investigation.

Officers investigated two separate abandoned vehicles.

Officers received a be on the lookout for an armed and suicidal subject who was supposed to be on his way to the Reed City area. Officers from the Reed City Police Department, the Michigan State Police and the Osceola County Sheriff’s department all canvassed the area. The subject was located and a traffic stop was performed. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the hospital for a mental evaluation.

Officers responded to an apartment complex for an unlawful entry complaint. The complainant reported that her neighbor walked into her house without permission. Officers talked to the suspect who stated that he thought his neighbor left and forgot to shut off her lights and close the door. The complainant did not wish to pursue charges at this time and the subject was given a warning.

Officers issued a vehicle abatement to a property owner in the city. The owner has the allotted time to correct the violation or further enforcement action will be taken.

Officers were called to a residence for a larceny of a snow blower complaint. The complainant reported his snow blower was stolen from his garage. The complaint was unfounded.

Officers responded to East Church Street at Wirth Street for a car/deer accident. There was moderate damage. A report was completed.

Officers were called to Maplewood Drive for a barking dog complaint. Upon arrival no dogs were heard barking. The complaint was unfounded.

Officers were called to West Stimson Avenue for a barking dog complaint. Upon arrival no dogs were heard barking. The complaint was unfounded.

Officers responded to an apartment complex for an indecent exposure complaint. The complainant reported seeing someone urinating off of a balcony. The subject urinating was determined to be a juvenile child. A warning was issued to the child and his mother.

Officers were called to South Higbee Street for a barking dog complaint. Upon arrival no dogs were heard barking. The complaint was unfounded.

Officers responded to a residence on South Chestnut Street for a noise complaint. Intoxicated subjects were at the residence and a warning was issued for noise.
