06/23 Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office in escorting five over-dimensional trucks on U.S. 10. Officers issued multiple grass and trash abatements to property owners in the city. The owners have the allotted time to correct the violation or further enforcement action will be taken. Officers on patrol located an open storage shed at a business in the city. The shed was checked and secured. The owner was notified. 06/24 Officers were called to South Roth Street near Bittner Avenue for a two-vehicle traffic crash. There were no injuries and only minor damage. A report was completed. Officers responded to a residence on West Slosson Avenue for a child custody dispute. Officers arrived and talked with both parties and advised them that it was a civil matter and provided them with a course of action. 06/25 Officers were called to a business for a suspicious letter that was received. The letter was collected and the matter is under further investigation. Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was operating the vehicle without insurance. The driver was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident. Officers located a subject at his residence that had an outstanding warrant for driving under the influence of drugs. The subject was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident. 06/26 Officers responded to U.S. 10 near 210th Avenue for a two-vehicle crash. There were no injuries and moderate damage. A report was completed. The at fault driver was cited for failing to yield. Officers were called to an apartment complex for an unlawful dumping complaint. The complainant reported that a former tenant was coming on the property and dumping several bags of trash in the dumpster. A report was completed and the matter is under further investigation. 06/27 Officers responded to Rambadt Park for a report of a suspicious person wandering around the park. Officers checked the area and the subject had left prior to the arrival of the officers. Officers on patrol located a headstone that was tipped over in the Cemetery. The headstone was replaced and the matter is under further investigation. Officers responded to a noise complaint on West Osceola Street. The owner was located and given a warning. Officers were called to a residence on West Upton Avenue for a deceased subject. Officers arrived on scene and an investigation was conducted with the Medical Examiner. The death was determined to be natural and appears to be from a result of medical complications. 06/28 Officers issued a trash abatement to a property owner in the city. The owner has the allotted time to correct the violation or further enforcement action will be taken. Officers were requested to assist the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department for a report of kids walking in the roadway on 200th Avenue between 2 and 3 Mile roads. Officers located the kids and advised them to return home and to stay out of the roadway. Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was determined that the driver was operating while intoxicated. The driver was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident. 06/29 Officers were requested to assist the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department with transporting a prisoner from a scene. Officers transported the subject and lodged them in the Osceola County Jail without incident.

06-15 Deputies were dispatched to a Marion Township home on the report of a possible domestic assault complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured and through investigation it was discovered that no one was assaulted; however one party was in violation of the conditions of their bond. At that time the subject was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident. Deputies investigated a one-vehicle crash and one crash with injuries. Incidents occurred within Highland and Orient Townships. 06-16 Deputies were dispatched to a Marion home on the report of an attempted suicide complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured, and it was very evident that said subject was a danger to themselves. The subject was then taken into protective custody and was transported by ambulance to Cadillac Mercy Hospital for treatment and a mental evaluation. Deputies were dispatched to the Village of Marion on the report of a suspicious vehicle complaint. Upon arrival the area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located. 06-17 Deputies investigated two vehicle crashes, which occurred within Richmond and Highland Townships. Deputies were dispatched to a Sylvan Township on the report of a residential alarm complaint. Upon arrival the residence was checked and everything was found to be secure. 06-18 A sergeant investigated a suspicious letter which was mailed to the Osceola County District Court. After taking the necessary safety precautions and a thorough investigation, the letter was discovered not to be hazardous. 06-19 A deputy responded to a Reed City office and arrested a subject for violating the conditions of their probation. The subject was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident. Deputies were dispatched to Richmond Township, on the report of a suspicious male subject walking in the roadway. Upon arrival the area was thoroughly patrolled, however the male subject was not located. 06-20 Deputies were dispatched to a Burdell Township home on the report of an accidental death complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured and through investigation it was determined that a male subject was working underneath a vehicle, when the jack fell and pinned said subject under the vehicle causing fatal injuries. The Deputies completed their investigation and cleared the scene once their assistance was no longer needed. Deputies conducted a traffic stop, within Leroy Township, as creditable information was received that the operator was driving said vehicle on a suspended driver’s license. Through investigation it was discovered that the operator was not only operating on the suspended license, but was operating said vehicle while intoxicated (second offence) and was in violation of the conditions of their bond. The subject was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident. 06-21 Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Lincoln Township for failing to dim their bright lights. Through investigation it was discovered that said subject was found to be operating said vehicle while under the influence of drugs, and was also found to be in possession of suspected narcotics. The operator was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident. A sergeant conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Richmond Township for an equipment violation. Through investigation it was determined that the operator was operating their vehicle while intoxicated. The subject was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.
