Reed City 06\/09 Officers on patrol located a subject at his residence that had an outstanding warrant\u00a0for disorderly conduct. The subject was taken into custody and lodged at the Osceola County Jail\u00a0without incident. Officers were called to West Upton Avenue near Higbee Street for a single vehicle traffic crash. The driver\u00a0of the vehicle struck a light pole. There were no injuries and only minor damage. The driver was\u00a0cited and a report was completed. Officers on patrol located an open door on a storage building for a business in the city. The\u00a0building was checked and found to be secure. The door was locked and the owner was notified. 06\/10 Officers were requested to perform a well being check on a child. Officers located the\u00a0child with his father at a playground and everything was OK. Officers handled a dog complaint. The complainant reported that she was walking her dog when\u00a0another dog came running out of a residence and attacked her dog. The dog owner has been\u00a0identified and the matter is under further investigation. 06\/11 Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers arrived on scene to find the\u00a0homeowner on site. The homeowner accidentally tripped the alarm and everything was OK. Officers were called to the GT Norman Elementary School for a fire alarm. Officers arrived on\u00a0scene to find everything was ok and the alarm was false. 06\/12 Officers executed a search warrant at a residence to seize a cell phone that contained\u00a0nude images of a minor. The cell phones were located and seized and the case is open pending\u00a0a forensic analysis of the cell phones. Officers were assisted at the scene by the Osceola County\u00a0Sheriff\u2019s Office. Officers served an abatement notice to a property owner for having an unregistered vehicle on the\u00a0property. The owner has the allotted time to correct the violation or further enforcement action will\u00a0be taken. Officers handled a possible fraud complaint at a business in the city. The complainant reported that\u00a0the same subjects kept buying pre-paid credit cards and believed they may be part of a scam. The\u00a0matter is under further investigation. 06\/13 Officers were called to U.S. 10 at White Birch Drive for a three-vehicle traffic crash with\u00a0injuries. EMS responded to the scene and there was severe damage to vehicles involved. A report\u00a0was completed and the at-fault driver was cited. Officers responded to an apartment complex for a possible breaking and entering. The complainant\u00a0reported that she returned home and found her front door open. Officers checked the residence and\u00a0everything was found to be secure and nothing was missing. Officers were called to a residence for a phone scam complaint. The complainant reported she\u00a0received a phone call from a male with a heavy Eastern accent telling her that her computer had a\u00a0virus and she needed to send him money to fix it. The complainant was advised it was a scam. The\u00a0complainant never sent any money to the subject. Officers responded to the motel for a well being check on a resident. Officers located the subject\u00a0and determined everything was OK. 06\/14 Officers were called to a residence for a dog at large complaint. The complainant\u00a0reported that the neighbor\u2019s dog keeps getting loose and comes into his yard. A report was\u00a0completed and the matter is under further investigation. Officers responded to a business in the city for a fraud complaint. The complainant reported that\u00a0the suspect came into the store claiming to have $24 in bottle returns but only actually had $17.\u00a0The suspect had left prior to the officer\u2019s arrival but has been identified. The matter is under further\u00a0investigation. Officers were called to East Todd Avenue for a barking dog complaint. The owner of the dog was\u00a0located and given a warning. Officers on patrol located an open door at a business in the city. The building was checked and\u00a0found to be secure. Officers attempted to contact the property owner but got no answer. Osceola County Sheriff 06-08 Deputies were dispatched to a Hersey Township residence on the report of a domestic assault complaint. Upon arrival, the deputies secured the scene, and through investigation determined that an assault did occur between two subjects involved in a domestic relationship. At that time the aggressor was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident. Deputies were dispatched to Lincoln Township on the report of a suspicious male walking down the roadway. Upon arrival to the area, the suspicious person was located and their credentials and alibi were verified. At that time said subject was transported to their residence and the deputies cleared the scene once their assistance was no longer needed. 06-09 Deputies investigated four vehicle crashes, which occurred within Middle Branch, Richmond, Lincoln and Highland Townships. A deputy was dispatched to an Osceola Township home on the report of a misuse of a credit card complaint. Upon arrival the deputy discovered that a known subject to the victim had used the credit card without authorization. The deputy completed his investigation and forwarded this report to the Prosecutor\u2019s Office for charges. 06-10 Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Middle Branch Township for a defective taillight. Through investigation it was discovered that the operator was driving on a suspended license and was in possession of an open container of alcohol. The passenger in the vehicle was also found to be in possession of an open container of alcohol. At that time the driver was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail, while the passenger was issued a misdemeanor citation for the offence. A sergeant was dispatched to an Evart Township home on the report of an assault and battery complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured, and through investigation it was determined that an assault did occur between two subjects. At that time the parties were separated and the report was forwarded to the Prosecutor\u2019s Office for review. 06-11 A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within the City of Evart for a defective headlight. Through investigation it was discovered that the driver of said vehicle had a valid Mecosta County warrant which was issued for their arrest. At that time the subject was arrested and turned over to Mecosta County Deputes without incident. A deputy was dispatched to a Richmond Township home on the report of a gold colored Impala driving by the complainant\u2019s residence several times. Upon arrival the area was patrolled, however the vehicle was not located. 06-12 Deputies investigated two vehicle crashes which occurred within Orient and Hersey Townships. 06-13 A deputy was dispatched to Hersey Township on the report of a larceny complaint. Upon arrival, the deputy discovered that someone had taken a rope-rigging bag from the victim\u2019s truck, while the truck was parked in the victim\u2019s front yard. The deputy was also given a list of suspects in this case. This case is open pending further investigation. Deputies were dispatched to a Burdell Township home on the report of a attempted suicide complaint. Upon arrival, the scene was secured, and through investigation it was discovered that the subject was a danger to themselves. At that time the subject was taken into protective custody and was transported to a local hospital for treatment and a mental evaluation. Also, during this investigation, an occupant of the residence fled the scene and the Osceola County K-9 unit was called to the scene. After a short track the subject was located under a small bush. Further investigation revealed that this subject was in violation of their probation conditions and was also in violation of the conditions of a personal protection order. \u00a0The subject was then arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident. 06-14 Deputies responded to a Reed City residence and arrested a subject on the strength of a valid Osceola County warrant. The subject was secured and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident. Deputies investigated one vehicle crash and one vehicle crash with injuries. Incidents occurred within Highland and Rose Lake Townships.
