An officer arrested a subject who was wanted on outstanding warrants. The subject was transported to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department and lodged on charges.

An officer conducted a traffic stop. It was determined the driver did not have a valid license. The driver was issued a misdemeanor appearance citation.

A citizen found some property near the Evart skate park that included a Nintendo DS. Please contact the Evart Police Department for further information reference this property.

An officer took a larceny of a bicycle complaint that occurred near Centennial Arms apartment complex.

An officer was dispatched to a residential burglary alarm. The residence was found to be secure.

An officer assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department with a domestic dispute that occurred outside of the city limits.

5/19 Officers responded to a gas station for a gas drive-off complaint. The matter is under investigation. Officers were called to a residence for a disturbance between a mother and daughter. The daughter did not want her mother staying with her anymore. This complaint was a civil matter and the parties were provided with a course of action. Officers handled a larceny of a bicycle complaint that occurred at the school. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation. Officers were called to West Todd Avenue for a barking dog complaint. The owner of the dog was located and given a warning. Officers met a subject at the Animal Control Shelter to lodge a stray dog after hours. Officers assisted a stranded motorist on 210th Avenue. Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department in obtaining a blood draw based on a search warrant on a subject who was hostile at the hospital. 5/20 Officers responded to a residence for a missing child complaint. Officers searched the area and found the child walking home with a friend. The mother of the child was contacted. Officers investigated a possible personal protection order violation. The information was obtained and a report was completed. 5/21 Officers were called for a suspicious situation at an apartment complex. The manager reported that someone jumped the fence, got into a vehicle and took off. Officers located and stopped the vehicle. The subjects were served with no trespass notices for the complex. Officers issued two separate abatement notices to property owners. The owners have the allotted time to correct the violation or further enforcement action will be taken. Officers on patrol observed a subject creating excessive noise with his vehicle at his residence. The subject was given a noise warning. Officers were requested to do a well being check on a subject that was possibly suicidal. The subject was located at his residence and was found to be OK and not suicidal. 5/22 Officers were called to the school for a disorderly student. Officers stood by with the student until his parents arrived to take him home. Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was determined that the driver had an outstanding warrant out of the Lake County Sheriff’s Department. The subject was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident. Officers were requested to do a well being check on a subject at an apartment complex. It was determined that the subject was in the hospital. Officers were called for a zoning violation behind a residence in the city. The complainant reported that subjects were living in tents. The subjects were located and advised of the violation and have since left. 5/23 Officers investigated an abandoned vehicle on West Osceola Street. The owner has the allotted time to remove the vehicle or it will be impounded. Officers were called to Maplewood Drive for a report of a young boy who has been sitting on the front porch and appears to be locked out of the house. Officers made contact with the subjects and everything was ok, the child was just playing on the porch. Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was determined that the driver was operating the vehicle without insurance. The driver was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident. 5/24 Officers on patrol located a large gathering on the sidewalk on North Chestnut Street. Officers made contact with the subject and learned that the suspect had just assaulted his son. The suspect was arrested for domestic violence and was lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident. Child Protective Services was also called to the scene. Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department on a traffic stop on 2 Mile Road. Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department in obtaining a blood draw based on a search warrant on a subject at the Hospital. 5/25 Officers were called for a possible intoxicated driver on Patterson Road that had run a vehicle off the road. Officers located and stopped the vehicle and found an elderly women driving who was having a hard time seeing while driving at night. Officers assisted the Michigan State Police at the hospital with a combative subject in their custody. Osceola County Sheriff

A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Richmond Township for the driver failing to wear their safety belt. Through investigation it was discovered that the driver was operating on a suspended driver’s license. At that time the driver was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies were dispatched to a LeRoy Township home on the report of a 911 hang-up complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured and it was determined that a small child was playing with the phone. The deputies then cleared the scene once their assistance was no longer needed.

Deputies were dispatched to a Marion home on the report of a domestic assault complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured, and through investigation it was determined that an assault did occur between two subjects involved in a domestic relationship; however the aggressor had left the scene prior to deputies arrival. The deputies completed their investigation and cleared the scene once their assistance was no longer needed. This case is open pending contact with the suspect.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop within Evart Township on a vehicle for driving left of the center line. Through investigation it was discovered that the operator was driving their vehicle while intoxicated and was also operating without a driver’s license. Also, a passenger within said vehicle was found to be in violation of their bond. At that time both subjects were arrested and were transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop within Richmond Township for a loud exhaust. Through investigation it was discovered that the driver and lone occupant was operating their vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. At that time the driver was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies investigated three vehicle crashes which occurred within Evart, Marion and Middle Branch townships.

Deputies were dispatched to a Hersey Township residence on the report of a possible domestic assault complaint where one of the parties had fled the scene. Upon arrival the deputies secured the scene and completed their investigation in regards to the suspected domestic violence complaint, but also located potential narcotics at the home. During this investigation the second person was located and stopped near the Evart area. Through this investigation it was discovered that the suspect was in possession of a large amount of suspected marijuana. At that time the suspect was arrested for the possession offence and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident. This report has been forwarded to the Prosecutor’s office for additional charges.

Deputies investigated three vehicle crashes which occurred within Marion, Sherman and Evart townships.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Hersey Township for displaying a white light to the rear. Through investigation it was discovered that the driver and lone occupant of said vehicle was driving their vehicle while intoxicated and operating said vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. The driver was then arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies responded to the Allegan County Jail and picked up an inmate on the strength of an Osceola County warrant. The subject was then transported back to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies investigated a one-vehicle crash and one crash with injuries. Incidents occurred within Hersey and Osceola townships.

A sergeant was dispatched to a Hersey Township residence on the report of breaking and entering complaint. Upon arrival the scene was secured, and through investigation, it was discovered that someone entered the victim’s home and took a television set. The sergeant completed his investigating and cleared the scene once his assistance was no longer needed.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Highland Township for a speeding infraction. Through investigation it was discovered that the driver and lone occupant was operating said vehicle with a suspended drivers license — second offence. At that time the subject was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within Leroy Township for driving right of the fog line. Through investigation it was discovered that the driver and lone occupant was operating said vehicle while intoxicated. At that time the driver was arrested and was transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.
