5-12 An officer was dispatched to check the area for a dog at large. The dog’s owner was located and a civil infraction was given. A local business turned over a non-sufficient fund check. An officer made contact with the party who then paid the check in full. 5-14 An officer was dispatched to one of the schools referenced two subjects arguing. The officer made contact with the parties and advised them to conduct their business civilly and to move along. An officer was dispatched to check the well-being of an elderly subject, upon the officer’s arrival it was determined that the subject needed medical care and was transported to the hospital via ambulance. A referral was turned over to the Department of Human Services. 5-16 An officer handled a private property accident and there were no injuries. An officer assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department on a personal injury accident that occurred outside of the city limits. An officer was dispatched to a harassment complaint. The parties were advised to settle their differences civilly to avoid any potential criminal actions. 5-17 An officer was dispatched to a malicious destruction of property complaint. The case is open pending further investigation. An officer was dispatched to a report of a missing juvenile who was later located and returned home. An officer made contact with a male subject who was wanted on outstanding warrants. The subject was transported to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department where he was lodged on charges. 5-19 An officer was dispatched to a resident of a report of a suicidal subject. The officer made contact with the parties and it was determined a verbal altercation had occurred. The parties were separated and it was determined that the altercation did not turn physical.

05/12 Officers were called to the parking lot of an apartment complex for a suspicious vehicle running in the lot. Officers made contact with the occupant who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for contempt of court. The subject was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident. 05/13 Officers handled a walk in found property complaint. The complainant found a cell phone in the parking lot of his business. The owner of the phone was located and the property was returned to the owner. Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department on a call on West Todd Avenue. Officers located a subject that had an outstanding warrant for disorderly conduct. The subject was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident. 05/14 Officers responded to a residence on West Todd Avenue for an intoxicated and agitated male that was yelling obscenities and jumping in front of and smacking cars passing by. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident. Officers were called to a business for a civil matter between two partners of the business. The parties were advised that the complaint was not criminal and were provided with a course of action. Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department in executing an arrest warrant at an apartment complex in the city. The subject was arrested without incident. 05/15 Officers assisted School Officials with a K9 search of the property. Officers were called to the Courthouse Annex Building for a reported larceny from vehicle. The complainant stated he went into the Courthouse for 10 minutes and returned to find his rototiller had been stolen from the bed of his truck. A report was completed and the matter is under further investigation. Officers assisted the Michigan Department of Corrections in arresting a subject at a residence that was in violation of his parole conditions. The parolee also had an outstanding felony warrant for criminal sexual conduct out of the Michigan State Police Mount Pleasant Post and was arrested on this warrant as well. Officers handled an assault complaint that occurred at the school. A report was completed and the matter was turned over to the School Liaison Officer for investigation. Officers responded to a business for a larceny complaint. The complainant reported that five laptops were stolen from his business and believes his ex-business partner was the person that did it. The matter is an on going civil dispute and the complainant was provided with a course of action. Officers located an abandoned vehicle on U.S. 10 near North Chestnut Street. The vehicle was impounded. 05/16 Officers handled a walk in complaint at the department. The complainant reported that someone had stolen his 2000 Silver Chevy Cavalier from the parking lot of Heritage Place last night. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation. Officers were called to a business for an unlawful dumping complaint. The complainant reported that someone had dumped tires on his property. A report was completed and the matter is under further investigation. 05/17 Officers responded to W Upton Ave for a report of a dirt bike in the road. Officers checked the area and the dirt bike was gone on arrival. Officers were called to a business for a possible breaking and entering complaint. The complainant reported that he chased five kids off of a neighboring businesses property and thought that they may have broken into a trailer. Officers located the subjects who were identified and given a warning for trespassing. It was determined that no breaking and entering occurred; the kids were just loitering on the property. 05/18 Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was operating the vehicle with a suspended license and with an improper license plate. The driver was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.
