Officers received information of a student at the school selling marijuana. Officer made contact with the suspect who was a juvenile and a large quantity of marijuana was seized. Through further investigation by the school liaison officer multiple other students were found to be in possession of marijuana who had bought it from the original suspect. All offenders involved have been petitioned into probate court.

The school liaison officer investigated a suspicious person at the school. The subject was identified and advised to leave the property.

Officers were called to an apartment complex for a harassment complaint. The complainant advised that she was receiving harassing text messages. Officers talked to both parties and they were warned to not have any further contact with each other.

Officers responded to the hospital for a two vehicle traffic crash in the parking lot. There were no injuries and only minor damage. A report was completed.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was operating on a suspended license. The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers investigated a dog bite complaint at a residence. The dog was seized and taken to the animal shelter. The matter was turned over to the Osceola County Animal Control.

Officers were called to an apartment complex for a harassment complaint. The complainant stated she was being harassed by her neighbors. Officers talked with both subjects and warnings were issued.

Officers issued a trash abatement to a property owner in the city. The owner has that allotted time to remove the trash from the property or further enforcement action will be taken.

Officers responded to South Chestnut Street near 3 Mile Road for a car/deer accident. There were no injuries to the occupants of the vehicle and only minor damage. A report was completed.

Officers stopped a commercial vehicle for operating without any tail lights. The driver was given an appearance citation for operating a vehicle without having a license in his possession and was released.

Officers assisted the Michigan State Police in attempting to locate a vehicle in Reed City. Officers checked the area and were not able to locate the vehicle.

Officers handled a walk-in complaint of an armed robbery that occurred at a residence earlier in the week but was just now being reported. The complainant reported that two subjects entered the house armed with handguns and stole personal property that was inside the house. The complainant was also assaulted by the suspects. The matter is under investigation. A detailed press released will be released at a later time.

Officers investigated a complaint of a registered sex offender residing within 1,000 feet of a school. The matter is under further investigation.

Officers were called to the high school for a hit-and-run accident. Upon reviewing the camera system it was determined that the damage did not occur at the school and the complaint was unfounded.

Officers responded to a residence for a possible domestic disturbance. Upon arrival officers made contact with the female resident who stated that everything was fine. The matter was investigated and the complaint was unfounded.

Officers located a subject that was wanted on a felony warrant for armed robbery, unlawful imprisonment, possession of a weapon during a crime and possession of a firearm by a felon. The subject was lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident. Officers were assisted by the Big Rapids Department of Public Safety Police Division. Officers located a subject that was wanted on a felony warrant for armed robbery and unlawful imprisonment. The subject was lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident. Officers were called to an alarm at a business in the city. Officers checked the building and the alarm was determined to be false.

Officers responded to an apartment complex for a noise complaint. Upon arrival no noise was heard. The complaint was unfounded.

Officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Green Township in Mecosta County related to an armed robbery that occurred in Reed City. Evidence was recovered from the residence and additional charges are pending. Officers were assisted by the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver of the vehicle was operating on a suspended license. The driver was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers responded to a noise complaint on Fifth Avenue. It was reported that a loud motor was running. Officers checked the area and found the subject was running a generator. The subject was given a warning.
