Reed City 03\/17 Officers on patrol located a vehicle that had its lights left on. Officers were able to locate the owner. Officers assisted school officials with a student that was being disrespectful and disorderly. Officers responded to a residence for a trash complaint. The owner had trash out at the road that was not picked up by the trash company. The owner was located and advised to remove the trash. Officers were called to an apartment complex for a well-being check on a possibly suicidal subject. Officers made contact with the subject who was fine and not suicidal. 03\/18 Officers were called to a business for a larceny complaint. The suspect had stolen something from the gift shop. It was determined that the suspect was suffering from dementia and no criminal charges are being pursued by the complainant. Officers handled a truancy complaint. A student skipped class and was located and returned to the school. The parents of the child were contacted. Officers responded to a bank for an ATM alarm. Officers arrived on scene to find a bank repair man working on the machine. The alarm was unfounded. Officers investigated two abandoned vehicles. 03\/19 Officers made contact with a suicidal student. The student was transported to the Mental Health Office to be evaluated and her parents were notified. Officers responded to the high school for an alarm. It was determined that the alarm was caused by a power outage. 03\/20 Officers were called to the courthouse for a domestic assault that occurred in the parking lot. The suspect had fled the scene. A report was completed and turned over to the Prosecutor\u2019s Office for an arrest warrant. Officers responded to a residence for a well-being check on a possibly suicidal subject. Officers attempted contact at the subject\u2019s residence and he was not home. The complainant called back a short time later advising he made contact with the subject and everything was fine. Officers were called to a residence for a larceny complaint. The complainant stated she lost her wallet and since it was lost there have been unauthorized transactions on her credit card. The cards were canceled. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation. Officers investigated an abandoned vehicle. 03\/21 Officers responded to a business for a bad check complaint. The complainant advised that customer made a purchase with a check and then canceled the check at the bank. A report was completed. The suspect has been identified and the matter is under investigation. Officers assisted Child Protective Services with interviewing a child. The matter is being handled by CPS. Officers were called to the school for a report of three students smoking marijuana. The subjects were located and the marijuana was recovered. The matter is being referred to Probate Court. Officers responded to South Chestnut Street at Church Street for a three-vehicle traffic crash. There were minor injuries and moderate damage. A report was completed. Officers responded to East Church Street at Savidge Street for a two-vehicle traffic crash. The at-fault driver was cited for passing on the right. There was minor damage to the vehicles and a report was completed. Officers were called to the parking lot of a business for a hit and run private property damage accident. There was minor damage to the victim\u2019s vehicle. A report was completed. 03\/22 Officers responded to a residence for a suicidal subject. Upon arrival it was determined that the subject had taken a quantity of pills. Prior to taking the pills, the subject had assaulted his wife. The subject was taken to the hospital for treatment and a mental evaluation and upon release from the hospital he was arrested for domestic assault and probation violation and was lodged at the Osceola County Jail. Officers assisted the Michigan State Police on Patterson Road where numerous arrests were being made. Evart 03\/17 An officer was dispatched to assist the elementary school staff with a disorderly student. The student starting cooperating after the officer arrived, and the student was sent home. 03\/18 An officer received information regarding a Student Safety Zone violation. The officer was unable to make contact with the registered offender, and the report has been forwarded to the Osceola County Prosecuting Attorney. An officer was dispatched to a check well-being complaint. The officer made contact with the involved parties, and forwarded the information to protective services. 03\/19 An officer received information concerning the well-being of a minor. The officer forwarded the information to protective services. 03\/21 An officer was dispatched to investigate a one-vehicle property damage accident. 03\/22 An officer was dispatched to a noise complaint. The officer assisted both parties with coming to an agreement to avoid any future noise problems.
