09-02

  •  An officer was dispatched to a civil complaint. The officer stood by while one party picked up their property from the other party.
  •  An officer was dispatched to a noise complaint. Upon investigating the complaint the officer made contact with a subject under the age of 21 who had been consuming alcohol. The subject refused to corporate and was arrested after a brief struggle.

  •  An officer was dispatched to a prowler complaint. The complainant and victims were unable to identify the subject, but provided a description. The officer was unable to locate the subject, but learned that one of the witnesses had an outstanding warrant. The subject with the warrant was arrested.

  •  An officer was dispatched to the middle school for a dog at large complaint. The officer located a brown, male pit bull mix dog lying in front of a door. The officer caught the dog, and transported it to the Osceola County Animal Control Shelter.

  •  An officer was dispatched to a prowler complaint. The complainant and witnesses were unable to identify the subjects, but provided a description. The officer was unable to locate the subjects.

  •  Officers responded to a fire alarm at City Hall.  Officers arrived on scene and found that alarm to be false.

09-03

  •  Officers located a subject that had two outstanding warrants out of our department for larceny from a motor vehicle and larceny less than $200.  The subjectwas arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
  • Officers located a subject that a no trespass notice had been issued on for an apartment complex.  The subject was served the notice without incident.

09-04

  •  Officers were called for a juvenile runaway.  Officers were able to locate the runaway and he was returned home.  An hour later the juvenile again ran away from his mother and is still listed as a runaway.  Officers were assisted the by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department and the Michigan State Police.
  •  Officers on patrol responded to a residence on E Church St for a possible suicidal subject.  Officers made contact with another subject that had three outstanding warrants for his arrest out of the Newaygo County Sheriff’s Office and the Evart Police Department.  The subject was arrested and then transported to the jail by another unit while officers continued to look for the suicidal subject who was reported to have a butcher knife.  The suicidal subject was located in the parking lot of an apartment complex without the knife and was transported to the hospital for a mental evaluation without incident.  Officers were assisted by the Michigan State Police and the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department.
  •  Officers responded to an apartment complex for a report of a domestic disturbance.  Officers arrived on scene to find that it was a verbal argument only and no assault had occurred.  The subjects were both given warnings.
  •  Officers on patrol found a bike on Rails to Trails.  The bike was taken into safekeeping at the department until claimed by the owner.

  •  Officers on patrol stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  It was discovered that the driver was operating the vehicle without a valid license and without insurance on the vehicle.  The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
  •  Officers responded to an apartment complex for a civil matter regarding custody of a child.  Through investigation it was determined that no court order existed regarding child custody and the complaint was advised to contact the court in the morning.
  •  Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  It was discovered that the driver was operating with a fraudulent license plate registration sticker.  The vehicle was impounded and the matter is under further investigation.

  •  Officers issued a trash abatement to a property owner in the city.  The owner has the allotted time to correct the violation or further enforcement action will be taken.
  •  Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  It was discovered that the driver was operating on an expired license.  The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.
  •  Officers responded to a residence for a threats complaint between two parents over their children.  Both parties were given a warning to stay away from each other and provided with a course of action.
  •  Officers were called to an apartment complex for a possible prowler complaint.  The complaint was unfounded.  The complainant was suffering from mental health issues.
  •  Officers responded to an apartment complex for a report of a female calling 911 and stating she needed help and then hung up on the dispatcher.  Officers searched for the caller who was suffering from mental health issues and she was eventually located and everything was determined to be ok.

  •  Officers issued a junk abatement to a property owner in the city that had multiple dismantled vehicles in the yard.  The owner has the allotted time to correct the violation or further enforcement action will be taken.

  •  Officers responded to a civil complaint over child custody.  The parties were advised to contact the court and were provided with a course of action.
  •  Officers on patrol located a dog at large.  The dog owner was located and given a warning for the dog running at large.
  •  Officers responded to a residence for a threats complaint that was occurring over Facebook.  Both parties were warned and provided with a course of action.
