• An officer was dispatched to a residential noise complaint. The officer made contact with the suspect. The suspect was advised to keep the noise down to avoid further enforcement action.

• An officer was dispatched to larceny complaint. The complainant advised property was stolen from inside the residence. The complaint is still under investigation.

• An officer was dispatched to a civil complaint. Upon arriving one subject had already left the residence. The complainant advised of having suicidal thoughts. The complainant was taken to Reed City Spectrum Hospital for an evaluation.

• An officer conducted a traffic stop. After further investigation, the officer determined the operator of the vehicle was intoxicated. The driver was arrested and the vehicle was towed.

• An officer was dispatched to a civil dispute. The officer made contact with both parties, and advised them to avoid any further contact with each other.

• An officer was dispatched to a suspicious person complaint. The officer made contact with the person, and determined the person was not violating any laws.

• An officer was dispatched to an accident involving two vehicle. The driver of one of the vehicles had fled the area before the officer arrived on scene. The officer identified the driver while investigating the accident. The officer searched for and located the driver who was intoxicated. The driver was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department.

• An officer was dispatched to a breaking and entering complaint. The incident is still under investigation.

• Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was operating the vehicle without insurance. The driver was given an appearance citation at the scene and released.

• Officers responded to the Newaygo County Jail to pick up a subject that had been lodged on a Reed City warrant for assault. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Osceola County Jail without incident.

• Officers on patrol located a subject at his residence that had a two count warrant for retail fraud. The subject was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.

• Officers responded to a residence to locate a subject that had an outstanding four count warrant for larceny from building, malicious destruction of property, attempted breaking and entering and larceny. Officers located the subject who at the time of his arrest was in possession of marijuana. Additional charges of possession of marijuana and probation violation are being sought and the subject was lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.

• Officers were called to a residence on North Chestnut Street for a breaking and entering in progress where the suspect had broken down the door and possibly had a gun. Officers arrived on scene and found a male and female suspect fighting with the homeowner. The suspects would not follow verbal orders given by the officer and a taser was deployed on the male suspect to take him into custody. The male suspect was arrested for assault, breaking and entering and resisting an officer. The female suspect was arrested for resisting an officer. Both suspects were lodged at the Osceola County Jail without further incident.

• Officers were called to Rails to Trails for a found bike complaint. Officers took possession of the bike until claimed by the owner.

• Officers were called for a larceny of a cell phone complaint. Before the matter could be investigated the complainant called back stating the suspect had returned the phone and did not wish to pursue charges. The matter has been closed.

• Officers responded to a residence for a civil matter regarding child custody. The subjects were provided with a course of action and advised to contact court in the morning.

• Officers were called to an apartment complex for a breaking and entering complaint. The complainant returned home to find his TV missing from his apartment. It was believed that his soon to be ex-wife had taken the TV. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

• Officers on patrol were dispatched to a barking dog complaint. Officers arrived on scene to find that the dogs were barking non-stop and the owner was not home. Officers will continue to attempt to contact the owner at which point she will be cited.

• Officers were called to a residence on West Todd Avenue for a report of four to five subjects fighting. Officers arrived on scene to find that it was a verbal domestic. The subjects were given a warning for their conduct and released.

• Officers responded to a traffic crash on East Church Street near South Chestnut Street. The driver of the first vehicle failed to yield leaving a driveway and crashed into a vehicle on East Church Street. The at fault driver was cited. There were no injuries and minor damage. A report was completed.

• Officers were called to the High School for a report of a larceny from a motor vehicle. The complainant stated she was returning to her car from the game and found the suspect seated in her vehicle going through her things. The complainant’s husband attempted to subdue the suspect but he got away. The suspect has been identified and arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

• Officers on patrol located a dismantled vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex. The owner will be served an abatement notice and will have the allotted time to correct the violation or further enforcement action will be taken.

• Officers located a subject at his residence that had a felony warrant for dangerous drugs. The subject was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident.

• Officers located a subject that had three outstanding warrants for his arrest out of various jurisdictions. The subject was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

• Officers were called to a residence for a complaint of a larceny from vehicle that occurred at the high school the night before. The suspect has been identified and a report was completed.

• Officers responded to the parking lot of a business for a two vehicle private property damage accident. There were no injuries and only minor damage. A report was completed.

• Officers were called to a business for a non-sufficient funds check complaint. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

• Officers were dispatched to a residence for a possible child abuse complaint. Officers checked the residence and the children and the complaint was unfounded.

• Officers were called to South Higbee Street for a report of a dog running at large. The dog was captured and lodged at the Animal Control Shelter until claimed by the owner.

• Officers responded to an apartment complex for a noise complaint. Upon arrival no noise was heard, the complaint was unfounded.

• Officers were dispatched to City Parking Lot A for a malicious destruction of property complaint. The victim’s headlights were smashed out. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

• Officers were called to a residence on East Todd Avenue for a barking dog complaint. The owner of the dogs were cited for having unlicensed dogs within the city.

• Officers responded to an apartment complex for a 911 call where the caller stated she was being chased by a male with a knife. Officers located the female complainant who was suffering from mental health issues. The subject was transported to the hospital for a mental evaluation. The original call was determined to be false.

• Officers were requested to respond to the hospital to assist staff with a mental patient that was trying to leave the hospital. Officers arrived on scene and there were no further problems.

• Officers on patrol located a group of juvenile subjects at the baseball dugout. It was determined that two of the juveniles were in possession of tobacco products and were cited and returned home to their parents.

• Officers were called to a residence on West Slosson Avenue for a possible domestic disturbance. Officers arrived on scene to find that it was a verbal argument only. The parties involved were provided with a course of action and given a warning for their conduct.

• Officers performed a peace officer stand by at a residence so an ex could get his belongings from a former girlfriend’s residence. There were no problems.

• Officers were called to an apartment complex for a phone harassment complaint. The matter was investigated and it was determined that the sender of the text message sent the message to the wrong person. The complaint was unfounded.

• Officers were dispatched to a residence on East Church Street for a larceny complaint. The complainant reported items missing from his garage. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.
