Evart Police Report 08\/26-08\/31 08-26 \u2022 An officer was dispatched to a residential noise complaint. The officer made\u00a0contact with the suspect. The suspect was advised to keep the noise down to avoid further\u00a0enforcement action. \u2022 An officer was dispatched to larceny complaint. The complainant advised\u00a0property was stolen from inside the residence. The complaint is still under investigation. \u2022 An officer was dispatched to a civil complaint. Upon arriving one subject\u00a0had already left the residence. The complainant advised of having suicidal thoughts. The\u00a0complainant was taken to Reed City Spectrum Hospital for an evaluation. 08-27 \u2022 An officer conducted a traffic stop. After further investigation, the officer\u00a0determined the operator of the vehicle was intoxicated. The driver was arrested and the\u00a0vehicle was towed. 08-28 \u2022 An officer was dispatched to a civil dispute. The officer made contact with both\u00a0parties, and advised them to avoid any further contact with each other. 08-29 \u2022 An officer was dispatched to a suspicious person complaint. The officer made\u00a0contact with the person, and determined the person was not violating any laws. 08-31 \u2022 An officer was dispatched to an accident involving two vehicle. The driver of one\u00a0of the vehicles had fled the area before the officer arrived on scene. The officer identified\u00a0the driver while investigating the accident. The officer searched for and located the driver\u00a0who was intoxicated. The driver was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Sheriff\u2019s\u00a0Department. \u2022 An officer was dispatched to a breaking and entering complaint. The incident is\u00a0still under investigation. Reed City Police Report 08\/26-09\/01 08\/26 \u2022 Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was\u00a0operating the vehicle without insurance. The driver was given an appearance citation at the scene\u00a0and released. \u2022 Officers responded to the Newaygo County Jail to pick up a subject that had been lodged on a Reed\u00a0City warrant for assault. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Osceola County\u00a0Jail without incident. 08\/27 \u2022 Officers on patrol located a subject at his residence that had a two count warrant for\u00a0retail fraud. The subject was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident. \u2022 Officers responded to a residence to locate a subject that had an outstanding four count warrant\u00a0for larceny from building, malicious destruction of property, attempted breaking and entering and\u00a0larceny. Officers located the subject who at the time of his arrest was in possession of marijuana.\u00a0Additional charges of possession of marijuana and probation violation are being sought and the\u00a0subject was lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident. \u2022 Officers were called to a residence on North Chestnut Street for a breaking and entering in progress where\u00a0the suspect had broken down the door and possibly had a gun. Officers arrived on scene and found\u00a0a male and female suspect fighting with the homeowner. The suspects would not follow verbal\u00a0orders given by the officer and a taser was deployed on the male suspect to take him into custody.\u00a0The male suspect was arrested for assault, breaking and entering and resisting an officer. The\u00a0female suspect was arrested for resisting an officer. Both suspects were lodged at the Osceola\u00a0County Jail without further incident. 08\/28 \u2022 Officers were called to Rails to Trails for a found bike complaint. Officers took\u00a0possession of the bike until claimed by the owner. \u2022 Officers were called for a larceny of a cell phone complaint. Before the matter could be\u00a0investigated the complainant called back stating the suspect had returned the phone and did not wish\u00a0to pursue charges. The matter has been closed. \u2022 Officers responded to a residence for a civil matter regarding child custody. The subjects were\u00a0provided with a course of action and advised to contact court in the morning. \u2022 Officers were called to an apartment complex for a breaking and entering complaint. The\u00a0complainant returned home to find his TV missing from his apartment. It was believed that his\u00a0soon to be ex-wife had taken the TV. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation. \u2022 Officers on patrol were dispatched to a barking dog complaint. Officers arrived on scene to find\u00a0that the dogs were barking non-stop and the owner was not home. Officers will continue to attempt\u00a0to contact the owner at which point she will be cited. 08\/29\u00a0 \u2022 Officers were called to a residence on West Todd Avenue for a report of four to five subjects fighting.\u00a0Officers arrived on scene to find that it was a verbal domestic. The subjects were given a warning\u00a0for their conduct and released. \u2022 Officers responded to a traffic crash on East Church Street near South Chestnut Street. The driver of the first\u00a0vehicle failed to yield leaving a driveway and crashed into a vehicle on East Church Street. The at fault\u00a0driver was cited. There were no injuries and minor damage. A report was completed. \u2022 Officers were called to the High School for a report of a larceny from a motor vehicle. The\u00a0complainant stated she was returning to her car from the game and found the suspect seated in her\u00a0vehicle going through her things. The complainant\u2019s husband attempted to subdue the suspect but\u00a0he got away. The suspect has been identified and arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail\u00a0without incident. \u2022 Officers on patrol located a dismantled vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex. The\u00a0owner will be served an abatement notice and will have the allotted time to correct the violation or\u00a0further enforcement action will be taken. 08\/30 \u2022 Officers located a subject at his residence that had a felony warrant for dangerous\u00a0drugs. The subject was arrested and lodged in the Osceola County Jail without incident. \u2022 Officers located a subject that had three outstanding warrants for his arrest out of various\u00a0jurisdictions. The subject was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident. \u2022 Officers were called to a residence for a complaint of a larceny from vehicle that occurred at the\u00a0high school the night before. The suspect has been identified and a report was completed. \u2022 Officers responded to the parking lot of a business for a two vehicle private property damage\u00a0accident. There were no injuries and only minor damage. A report was completed. \u2022 Officers were called to a business for a non-sufficient funds check complaint. The\u00a0owner of the dogs were cited for having unlicensed dogs within the city. \u2022 Officers responded to an apartment complex for a 911 call where the caller stated she was being\u00a0chased by a male with a knife. Officers located the female complainant who was suffering from\u00a0mental health issues. The subject was transported to the hospital for a mental evaluation. The\u00a0original call was determined to be false. \u2022 Officers were requested to respond to the hospital to assist staff with a mental patient that was\u00a0trying to leave the hospital. Officers arrived on scene and there were no further problems. 09\/01 \u2022 Officers on patrol located a group of juvenile subjects at the baseball dugout. It was\u00a0determined that two of the juveniles were in possession of tobacco products and were cited and\u00a0returned home to their parents. \u2022 Officers were called to a residence on West Slosson Avenue for a possible domestic disturbance. Officers\u00a0arrived on scene to find that it was a verbal argument only. The parties involved were provided\u00a0with a course of action and given a warning for their conduct. \u2022 Officers performed a peace officer stand by at a residence so an ex could get his belongings from a\u00a0former girlfriend\u2019s residence. There were no problems. \u2022 Officers were called to an apartment complex for a phone harassment complaint. The matter was\u00a0investigated and it was determined that the sender of the text message sent the message to the wrong\u00a0person.
