An officer was dispatched to a retail fraud complaint. The suspect had already left the scene upon the officer’s arrival. The officer spoke with the complainant and then located and arrested the suspect.

An officer was dispatched to a possible violation of controlled substance act. The officer made contact with the suspect. No illegal substances were located on the person, but the vehicle they were driving had an improper registration plate. The registration plate was confiscated and the vehicle was impounded.

An officer was dispatched to a larceny complaint. The officer took a statement from the complainant. The complaint is under investigation.

An officer was dispatched to assist the Osceola County Sheriff Department with a domestic assault. The officer arrived on scene and separated the parties until deputies arrived on scene.

An officer was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident.

An officer was dispatched to a hit and run accident. The incident is still under investigation.

An officer was dispatched to a disturbance at a residence. The officer made contact with multiple subjects and took their statements. Charges have been submitted to the prosecutor’s office.

An officer assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department with transporting a subject to the county jail. The suspect was charged with possession of a controlled substance and obstructing justice. After lodging the suspect, the officer returned to the residence and assisted deputies in executing a search warrant.

An officer was dispatched to a trespassing complaint involving two neighbors. The officer contacted both parties and took their statements.

Officers handled a harassment complaint. The complainant reported her family was being harassed by a subject that had just gotten out of prison. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

Officers responded to an apartment complex for a report of a subject allowing his dog to defecate on others property. The subject was located and warned.

Officers were called to a residence for a possible animal neglect case. Officers determined that the owner of the animals was in the hospital and family was going over to the home to take care of the animals. The complaint was unfounded.

Officers on patrol located two juvenile subjects there were in possession of car jacks. Upon questioning the subjects it was later determined that they had stolen the items from a yard sale. The items were returned to the owner and the owner refused to pursue charges. The kids were returned home to their parents.

Officers were requested to assist the Michigan State Police on a call on U.S. 131 where a car was overturned in the median. Officers arrived on scene handled the call until relieved by State Troopers.

Officers were called to investigate a suspicious vehicle in the area of West Todd Avenue. It was determined that the vehicle belonged to someone that was visiting at one of the houses.

Officers responded to an apartment building for an attempted breaking and entering complaint. The landlord had observed a subject on camera trying to break in through a door. A possible suspect has been identified and the matter is under investigation.

Officers were called to an apartment complex for a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival it was determined that the incident was verbal only and no assault had occurred. The parties were given a warning for their conduct and provided with a course of action.

Officers responded to the Pere Marquette Trail for a report of two found bikes. The bikes were taken back to the department and stored until claimed by the owners.

Officers issued a vehicle abatement notice to the owner of a dismantled vehicle parked at a residence. The owner has the allotted time to correct the violation or further enforcement action will be taken.

Officers were called to an apartment complex for a noise complaint. Officers arrived on scene and found that the complaint was unfounded.

Officers were called to a trailer park for a report of a dog running a large. The owner of the dog was located and cited.

Officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Cadillac where property stolen from a residence in Reed City was reported to be at.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was discovered that the driver was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. The driver was arrested and lodged at the Osceola County Jail without incident.

Officers handled a threats complaint. The complainant did not wish to pursue the matter; he just wanted it documented in case anything further was to happen. A report was completed.

Officers responded to a residence for a larceny complaint. The complainant reported that she was away at the hospital and her apartment was unlocked and that someone had entered the residence and stole some items while she was gone. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

Officers on patrol located a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot of a business that was closed. The subjects were identified and determined to be waiting for someone.

Officers responded to a trailer park for a larceny of gas complaint. The complaint stated that someone had stolen about $20 worth of gas from her vehicle’s tank. A report was completed and the matter is under investigation.

Officers were called to a residence for a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival it was determined that the incident was verbal only and no assault had occurred. The parties were given a warning for their conduct and provided with a course of action.

Officers were dispatched to a residence for an unknown disturbance. Upon arrival it was determined that two of the subjects had departed. All parties had been heavily drinking. Verbal warnings were issued and the matter was closed.

Officers on patrol located two suspicious subjects on the front steps of City Hall. The subjects, who were intoxicated, were identified. Both subjects had outstanding warrants. The warrant holding agencies would not pick the subjects up on their warrants. The subjects were released with a warning for being on city property after hours.
